Cabin fever?? Stir crazy?? Paranoid?? who me?? ya must be joking. So went the conversation last night as this home alone Dad sat to my lamb chop dinner round the table with the German Shepherd and the collie. Bailey (the collie) explained in rapid panting why birds actually WANT to be chased continually while Storm (the Shepherd) whined out his reasons why a dry mix dogfood is so boring... I told them both that I'd look into the food thingy, but ONLY if they were both using a knife and fork by the time the family arrive home next week!

It was a celebration dinner actually as it marked 19 years of marraige to herself who must be revered *s*. 19 feckin years can fly past can't they. Just after dinner I got a call from them to tell me where some gifts were hidden in the house.... a bottle of my favourite single malt whiskey from Sarah and two wonderful glass and pewter whiskey tumblers from the boys... it was meant to cheer me up on account of me being on me lonesome on the day...it worked, and I toasted their health... then I toasted YOUR health... then because it was tuesday and I was NOT gonna see Gerry the barman..I toasted him too...(they were very small toasts, liquidwise!!).

Foodwise things are mightily back on track now...am eatin' like a sparrow and makin every 'come on' known to mankind to ketosis who is still playing hard to get...but she'll succomb in the end..she's just gotta...

Just back from the morning walk...sportin' a yellow teeshirt, which is a fitting thing since most of my maties seem to be on that team... 'more power to yer elbows gals...give it a lash...'

Isin't it lovely to have a place like this to pop into - where good will abounds and 'horse manure' is left outside!!!

later....

LOL - your dogs are great conversationalists! Happy anniversary! I hope you enjoyed your walk.... were you at least wearing red socks, blue shorts and a green hat? You wouldn't want to show favoritism now, would you? :)

Amazing what those 4 footed babies want to talk about! I hope you specified what you meant by using a fork and knife, one of my previous "puppies" grabbed a fork off the grill and learned to use use it to dig holes in the yard. Congrats on the 19 years! Guess ya gonna collect some interest on the delayed celebration?

congrats on the 19 years...if you teach your dogs this...will you come teach mine...my australian cattle chases anything smaller than her and the shepherd likes to just plain whine about anything...they need your kind of help

You're lucky the dogs didn't insist on trading food with you! And ketosis is worth pursuing, but she's a fickle . . . uh . . . well, you know!

Happy Anniversary! How sweet of Sarah and the boys to hide some gifts for you! You'll have to have a proper celebration when Sarah gets back! Kudos to you for getting out for that walk! Love the conversation with your doggies too! Have a great day, friend :D
