Hello! I'm Kimberly from Kenner (New Orleans) and I've struggled with food and weight all of my life. I lost 80 lbs 10 years ago and have gained back 30 over a few years ago. I've been on a splurging and then dieting regime since then and am finally committed to getting that 30 pounds and more gone and for good this time. Wish me luck!

Update: Changed my profile pic to show my body. BTW, I didn't eat any of that cake, it was for my Mom's b'day in October, same weight as I am now.

Summer B.E.A.C.H. Challenge!
I've been on fatsecret since June 07 and this was the first challenge I participated in. It was great and did for me exactly what I hoped it would. Got me out of the damn recliner and into the gym.

I'm very pleased with second place! Congrats to my team and to the others. Wow, 110 lbs, that's incredible.

Cindyshine, I updated my post, scroll up. I didn't eat Chinese and I only had the one Olympic event. Hope I didn't mess ya'll up too much. We're doing pretty good though with the sandcastle thing. I hope everyone on the other teams didn't go all crazy this week and rack up the points!

Oh, I lost .4 this week. Weight is 177.

I'm still here! I've been journaling but not coming to this post as much. I took a break Sun, I was pooped but otherwise have been on track all week.

For the Olympics thing, I went swimming and will try to go again, don't know about that. As for the chinese food, totally against my plan, what do I do???

Cinyshine - I think the hint just means that there are prizes for the team that earn the most points? Doubtful, I know but, that's what I got out of it.

Sat 8/9 - 5 pts, cleaned house for 2 hours for guests
Sun 8/10 - 0 pts, Sad
Mon 8/11 - 5 pts, 45 mins on treadmill
Tue 8/12 - 5 pts, 45 mins on treadmill
Wed 8/13 - 5 pts, 45 mins on treadmill

Fri 8/15 - 5 pts, 45 mins on treadmill

Well, I know the challenge is coming to a close and I don't know if we'll win BUT...I'm sure glad I participated because it kept me accountable for getting my exercise done. I went from not doing any activity for a couple of weeks to walking the treadmill FIVE times a week! Yay, I'm committed now and hopefully it'll make a big difference for the cruise I'm taking in 2 1/2 weeks.

Sararay also posted in her journal or a post an article on Splenda. I thought it was the best option to sugar we have but it has chlorine (I think) in it. Look for her and you'll see. If not, let me know. I'm still using it, about 5-7 packets a day. What are we supposed to do? I've never seen that Stevia and we'd have to carry it around with us, not fun!
