A spicy, hearty steak chili with lots of beans that's very filling and budget friendly.
Ingredients
Directions
- Soak beans in cold water 6-8 hours or overnight, then drain and rinse.
- In large soup pot over medium-high heat sauté onion and garlic in olive oil. Add cubed steak and brown.
- Add spices and tomato paste and mix well. Add broth and canned tomatoes, and bring to a boil.
- Turn heat to low and simmer loosely covered for 4 hours stirring occasionally until thickened and beans are tender.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
