I'm trying the Atkins Diet...again....
I was on it for 7 months in 2007 and lost about 70 lbs.
I have two grown boys and 5 grandchildren! My husband of 37 years needs to go on this with me, so maybe with quick results I'll be able to talk him into it! We both need to get healthy!
I own a business and at times it is hard to find time to eat during the day then when I get home at 8 or 9pm I just don't feel like cooking. We got into the habit of eating fast food, but now if we do eat out, it is in a restaurant where I really have no trouble ordering a meal that is suited for Atkins.

Just a question about percentages
I followed by the old book years ago and noticed that in the new book they are allowing things they never allowed before. (ie: half and half instead of cream) I haven't read the whole thing yet, but there are some differences. I think the "old" way of thinking is easier, just because I'm used to it.

Just a question about percentages
that was 4 to 6 oz of protein for each meal.

Just a question about percentages
I quickly reviewed the newest book and could not find any "formula" for the induction phase. It just said 20 grams carbs (of which 12 to 15 grams should be of foundation vegetables) and 4 -6 oz of protein. I think you should be sure your within your calorie per day limit which should be 1200 to 1800 cal. depending on your body weight.

BAD BREATH...HELP
If you're on the Atkins Diet, I didn't think we were supposed to eat yogurt! I had the same problem with my breath AND body. It seemed my whole body chemistry changed. My gold rings were turing my fingers green etc. When I started eating more carbs, it stopped, but then again so did the weight loss. I'd love to know if someone out there has a "cure" for that.
