What was an adverage dinner like in your house before you changed your WOE?
Almost the same as now, portion size, included, with more processed foods. I've never quite eaten enough to support why I am fat. In fact, if you go by caloric intake, I should have been loosing weight. The problem must have been all of the processed junk I ate. I added in more whole foods, especially fresh veggies, particularly ones I've never tried before - like turnips and rutabegas (incidentally, I like them *better* than roasted potatoes with the same recipe). The bigger change has been the way I view food. We are most definitely omnivores, and this low <fill-in-the-macronutrient> (fat, carb, protein) diet fascination we have seems silly. I see food as a fuel, and the more I come to understand biological processes, and how to adjust for specific needs (like eating a carbohydrate-based meal after exercise to replace glycogen stores, with a protein mixed in), I feel better all around.
