I want to be accountable for my food choices. I've regained some of the weight I had lost. Thankfully, caught it before it got me back to where I started.

I am almost 6' tall, my goal is 185, Right now I want to lose 10% of my body weight. That seems to be a more reasonable immediate goal :)

I am married and have one child.

Diverticulitis anyone else have this?
Wow, I've been really sick. I had to go to the ER Monday night, I was experiencing HORRIBLE pain on my left side, lower abdomen. I had to be put on an IV, get a CT scan and get some type of pain shot. When the results came back, it was determined that I have diverticulosis which is this pouch like thing that comes off of your intestine, apparently it is in about 10 percent of people over 40, and in 50 percent of people over 60. Anyway, you can have this and not even know it, but when it gets infected or flares up, well... that's when you know it.

Mine was getting infected and was in bad pain. I was given Cipro, Flagyl, and a pain med to take home. I'm on a bland diet until the flare up goes down. Once that is gone, then I'm to be on a high fiber diet, MUST drink 10 glasses of water a day, and must walk everyday. Great incentive to stay on program. Don't want any more instances of this pain. Way too much for me, I have zero tolerance for ongoing pain.Sad
