17 November 2018

I have been testing my new macro's and for the past 11 days I have been well over my calories everyday. My maintenance RDI without exercise is around 1430. With the higher fat to more moderate (for me) protein, I find I can eat a lot more calories and be more comfortable. In fact my appetite has picked up a lot, so different from having to force myself to eat. I really killed my appetite going too low on calories not counting any other damage which I have written on and off about.

Over these past few months I have been rediscovering foods that negatively effect my body and my weight loss. I have also found foods that cause me flare ups of my fibro. I strongly encourage anyone struggling with their program so document their food and any reactions to the types of foods they eat. I know many of you have already been discovering these things as you search to figure out why you stall or have random weight gains. these are all clues to something is off.

My brain fog caused me a great deal of confusion and definitely delayed me getting to a point of figuring this all out. cutting out foods that negatively effected me made all the difference.

I have not been exercising during this period as I wanted to have no complications from water retention from workouts confusing my simple test. I have had items I have limited reactions to, mostly my coffee and cream which causes me pain and sinus/congestion. Yes I do have to stop that. I have had other meat meals and testing seasonings, which show me I am still not ready for seasonings too much brain fog and other symptoms.

I avoid other dairy or flour which do cause me to gain.

This week I will continue to over eat my RDI, I will attempt to clean up my diet again of the pain foods. And maybe this will help me to not only feel better but to also promote a little fat loss. I am not looking to lose more weight. I don't know if I will exercise.

Don't be timid about testing things, play with your macro's if you are stalling, test different foods in your plan if you think some of them may be causing issues. learning about your own body is a good thing!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Busy day today. I have to run down for an appointment in west palm beach and I may take a little time to myself. I woke up early and have most of the work I really need to do done already.

I have been testing my limits this week which is good since my appetite has soared. I am a little freaked by how hungry I am all the time. It is extremely hard to be accurate with my meats as most have more fat than I find to record, but I know by the way my body feels I am getting a lot more fat. my ketones show it too. When my protein is at a higher level my glucose rises and ketones drop. I kind of feel like my body is working overtime and really burning up what I am eating. It is hard to explain.

I have really not exercised much, yesterday because I was going to be so far over my calorie limit I decided to do some cardio (bike). normally exercise helps dull my appetite. It did for a couple hours and then I ate again like crazy.

Still waiting for this to catch up with me. I have gained 2/10's of a pound this week. And with water weight always changing I am surprised it has not been bouncing. my belly feels loose and floppy, which according to some indicates a whoosh is coming, but the only whoosh I expect is a couple pound gain eventually.

So my average overage is around 300 calories a day, probably closer to 80% fat to protein, no carbs worth mentioning. Hoping me gadding about after my appointment may help me avoid eating for a couple extra hours. LOL!

Feeling perky today. Woke up like normal around 1am and when I went back to sleep kept waiting for that bed shaking. for whatever reason, I was thrilled when for 10 minutes there were no violent twitching from my husband. If this continues then and only then will I accept that the soap is doing something! Amazing if it does.

I don't think my husband gets enough protein and last night he had steak so the improvement to his diet might be a factor for his easier sleeping too. He is starting his new make his own dinner routine today. he seems to think I make too much food for him. he will be bumming if he smells my short ribs when he gets home, if there is any left! LOL! see how long this lasts. I eat twice as much as he does just no veggies.

so far eating more calories with no exercise at the higher fat % is working just fine. my average calories is going to be quite high this week with so far no weight gain. It is nice to be able to eat again! keep to my plan and enjoy a little life!

yesterday I spoiled myself and went out to longhorn steakhouse and got the parmesan crusted chicken and I had tons of blue cheese dressing. While these foods are within my woe, dairy is one of those foods I need to avoid. But after weeks of the healing diet I decided to have a little treat. and naturally I am bloated up and it set off my nighttime cravings. Had some pepperoni late. But I slept like a champ.

So if you have late night cravings take a peek at the foods you are eating and see if they may trigger these symptoms. Sometimes you can find that eliminating certain foods will help your progress.

I have been pushing my calories this week and not exercising much if any to see how far I can go without gaining weight. I don't count this pound from yesterday as I am bloated and it should be gone naturally by itself in a day or two. Drinking plenty of water to flush out my system.

It is nice to relax a little and enjoy my food. I am looking into more variety with different types of meat. Lamb will be an experiment some time this week I have been looking for recipes. I have some rib's which seem to be a favorite for me lately. Variety is the spice of life
