ongoing saga with my testing, my adrenal panel and my thyroid is out of wack and we are doing more testing to see if my other glands are also a mess. the endo specialist they found can't see me until april so we are doing all we can to get some more info in the limited tests my doctor is allowed to do. I found another one I can see in feb so set that appointment. limited options with my insurance. I have found a functional medicine doctor, which is also a traditional doctor not a chiropractor, which I will see in jan and then decide where to go from there. but I made the specialist appointments as they are all so backed up. the functional doctor will be out of pocket and they are not cheap, but if I can get fixed, that is the most important part. I don't want to take unnecessary med's and feel this doctor is my best option for overall improvement of my food issues and gut issues. the rest might all stabilize if I can fix my allergies and let everything settle down

I have been mia lately trying to figure things out with my biggest problem. waiting to see the doctor again after more testing from the labs but I don't hold out much hope there for answers. I have been testing carbs to see if I could possibly find the lack of them causing the issue. after 4 days of heavy carbs, my legs still cramp up and may even be worst with the Charlie horses. I stopped the heavy salt when I went to carbs and found that I still need the salt.
so one thing solved, the lack of carbs is not causing either of my problems with my calves.
one issue is the Charlie horse/cramps and the second problem is the actual tightening. So Charlie horse cramps will be helped with the addition of salt and electrolytes. that one is a definite.
The leg tightening is linked to different foods. So over the next few days I will be testing different foods to see if there is anything carb or non carb I can eat without the tightening. so far I know cookies work fine. I will Charlie horse without the salt, but the legs do not tighten.
my weight will take a back seat until I figure these things out more

I had my pizza yesterday and though I logged a full slice of crust on my food journal I had about a half one, but I did have tons of cheese and pepperoni. They changed the sauce and it tasted sweet to me, I ended up having heart palpitations so I don't think I will be doing that again anytime soon. new symptom for me!
I ate a ton but fortunately I was on the downswing and did not gain any weight overnight. I have gained enough last week from all the inflammation I have had. I will have to try something else for my treats.
Just have not been able to focus on any exercise, my muscles just don't feel good and I tend to cause myself an injury lately when I do resistance work. everything is just too tight. Been going to get my weekly massage and after the workout on Thursday I have a new numb spot. Something has to give pretty soon.
have an appointment with the doctor again on Monday and we WILL be doing more bloodwork to try and track down what is going on. I may break down and consult a functional doctor as well.
Overall though I am feeling better today, my eyes are still burning but other than that and the normal pain, no cramping or anything else strange.

I am going off my woe today, decided it is time to eat one of my favorite foods. I know I will pay for it one way or the other, but I just want to endulge. I went to the desert section at wallmart and honestly nothing really perked my interest enough to want to grab it. so I am going Italian, just not sure if I get the eggplant parmesan or the pizza! Probably go for the pizza as I know that is good especially with the hot red pepper sprinkled on it with double pepperoni!
