I'm a 45 yr old mother of 2 adult children and a wife to an amazing husband. I was just diagnosed with a rare Uterine cancer. Thanksgiving 2018 was my highest weight of 216 lbs. Knowing and stressing about an upcoming surgery I went down to 209.7 lbs in January. As of January 30, 2019 I started Keto and haven't looked back. As of today I have lost 27.7 lbs on keto. I want to not only be healthy for myself, but I want to be in better health for when they do the surgery to remove the cancer.

Hi all, I'm new here and wanted to give you a little back ground on myself. I'm a 45 yr old mother of 2 adult children and a wife to an amazing husband. Ketogen diet

This is interesting. I thought that for keto diet I had to eat less than 30g of carbs a day. Do we have a clear idea on what is the carb approximate limit?
I've been doing keto for 4 weeks now, with good results (just didn't know that this site existed) and keeping it under 30g, but today I did not realise and had 41g. Do you think that is enough to take me out of ketosis? I will have to do the test tomorrow again.

I try to keep it under 20g for myself. I kicked myself out of ketosis 3 weeks ago and it took me almost a week to get back in for some reason. Good luck

Keto Lifestyle Buddy
Hello, I'm a newbie on this site and was looking for some encouragement to keep pushing forward. I'm a 45 yr old mother and wife. I started Keto at the end of January and have lost 27 lbs. I was also just diagnosed with a rare form of uterine cancer. I'm just looking for some positive encouragement and to share some keto recipes and or tips/tricks to stay in ketosis. I'm a positive person, however sometimes I get discouraged and just need to hear something encouraging.
