Giving up a favorite food
I have given up soda including diet soda. Some of my favorites are not totally off limits. If I have an urge to indulge myself. I plan for that splurge and make adjustmentments. Instead of a Big Mac meal I will have just the Big Mac. I still eat KFC when I am dieting. Grilled chicken and green beans are great. I don't like KFC fried chicken.

Has anyone ever been told???
Just give them your biggest smile and say " I don't know what that means" then change the subject to anything that makes you happy. This seems to bother people who are trying to get under your skin. Don't feed into negative energy.

Losing fat at the right place
You can't prevent fat from leaving certain places, but you can lift weights and do exercises that target your pectorial muscle. This will firm and shape these muscles.
