I am a new Mom. My daughter is 13 weeks old in 2 days. I have not yet lost any of the extra weight gained during my pregnancy. Now that I am healed up and back to work, I am ready to take on my weight loss challenge.

On a track now. Trending toward my goal of 145# (not overweight by end of September) and 135# by the holidays. Looking like I could reach this weight by December, my husband’s and my 10th wedding anniversary! He has also lost 10#! Seems the sympathy weight gain and weight loss are real. Works for me! Glad to share the healthy success with him.

My diet is reduced carb. Targets are 80:80:80g fat:carb:protein.
When I started on FS my carbs were easily 150-200g/day. Took me a few weeks to get <100g/day. Now I’m averaging <80g/day and it feels like a change I can stick to. So far so good!

Got to get serious
Arthritis stinks. All the people in my life who keep moving say that the pain is less the more you move. My mother in law is my inspiration. At 78, she walks daily. Just keep moving she tells me when sciatica pain gets me. Just keep moving says the chiropractor. Both mom and chiro have arthritis. Taking their advice I move when I hurt. I lose weight when I move. My mood improves, my pain decreases. It’s amazing how it works.
Congrats on your diet improvements. Wishing you all the best!
Don’t give up. You are doing the right things.

Too much food.
I've had to do that myself. Even with healthy bars. I traded out my old bars for kid's size or mini bars. I have nut packs too. Makes me a lot more aware of my choices. Even still I open one then two then three mini bars or bags of nuts. The decision is much more OBVIOUS. Some days I slip and feel guilty. But then I get back on track and realize I have a chance to make good decisions today.

Carb face to keto face?
Try some exercise to target the chin, neck, face. It's helped me. Plus I can do it while driving or at my desk in the office.
I also work on my posture. Chin up!

what is your goal weight, 5'3 and 5'4 ladies?
5'4" Lowest weight was 108# (at 25 yrs old)-> too thin. Highest weight 202# (41 yrs old, pregnant). Best weight ever 120-125 (19-23 yrs old), fit, healthy, satisfied. Since I joined FS @175# with a target weight of 135#. That is a reachable, healthy weight. Since our bodies change with motherhood, I want to re-evaluate 12/22/2019. They say 9 months on, 9 month off. My daughter was born 3/22/2019. So I will see. Having been up and down in weight most of my life, I know I will have the most wardrobe options 130-145# without having to buy new clothes. However, I do plan to reward myself with a few new threads when I can get out of these maternity pants!
