I started in 2007....was walking down drive taking trash out huffing and puffing...at 375 pounds....my first year...I dropped 75 pounds just walking.....and kept it off and a bit more till 4-28-16....life happens...you think you have food under control...you leave fat secret...

Starting weight...338.6 april 28,2016

retired male...71 years young..still a kid inside...a repeat member...

in 2007..back then i went by loosinisfun..my weight was up to 374..i lost 74 pounds by..Walking my weight off...my first year back in 2008 and it stayed off till 2015....

now 8 years later i ride a trek emonda sl 6 carbon road bike on days I ride outside.which are few...and on bad days i ride a Trek alr 5 road bike mounted to a wahoo kickr core smart trainer inside for bad days, cold days and winter months..Using zwift which is a virtual riding app...

2021... I sold my 2 road bikes and my kickr core trainer...and bought a wahoo kickr bike....fully an indoor rider now...it was the choice I made with my sight ..and feeling safer as well...no more flat tires..lol

Having macular degeneration and loss of center vision...makes it harder for me to ride outside because I can’t always trust my eyes to see everything on the road...having an indoor set up ..is ideal to still get my workouts....

I also use a wahoo heart rate monitor....you should set your max heart rate up...so you don’t damage your heart from going to strong....220 beats is max....subtract your age..that gives you your max...then I also went down another 10 beats just to have extra lead way...mine is set at...220-72=148.... I have it set at 140... knowing once I’m climbing a hill or doing a flat...that I need to slow down....

@ ED BO....a lot of the fs data ate is generalized....I don’t really use fs to keep track of my exercise...I use an app called Strava...

i ride my road bike on a trainer and use a program called zwift..it in turn transfers the stats to strava..i noticed that the stats i get from strava are usually about 1/3 of what fs says...and i trust the stats from strava more then fs...fs seems to over compensate for the numbers in their exercise part of the plan...my 2 cents..

changing routines from time to time is a great way of shocking the system..i do hit workouts on my road bike...
