Moving in the right direction! Just wish I didn't get carried away snacking on pretzels while I game on Sundays...all that excess sodium causes me to retain water, and it takes me 2 days to shed it again. I'm my own worst enemy!
BUT, the good news is that I'm almost to "virgin territory"...going where no weight has gone before...or at least not for YEARS! My next loss will see me jumping for joy and doing the happy happy joy joy dance. :-) And I'm HOPING that will be tomorrow! (fingers crossed)

losing 1.4 lb a week

I'm now down to my old WW weight, I've lost all the extra pounds I put on since August! YAY ME!!! ^5^ (That's a virtual high 5 lol) Now all I lose is pure gravy! I've set my goal for just a few pounds from now, just to give me an ego boost when I reach it, then I'll reset for ALMOST my true goal. I find these smaller goals simply make my day when I reach them, keeping my enthusiasm up for the entire life change!
Still getting 4-7 miles a day in, haven't missed a day of walking in over 14 months now. I'm out there regardless of the weather, for which I'm kinda proud of myself. Was mixing some jogging in, but took a few days to give my knees a break...and was going to start up again today. But yesterday I did some squats, and obviously didn't do them right because my knee was bothering me too much today to chance jogging on it. So instead we had an easy day and only walked 5.25 miles, at 3 1/2MPG.
Wishing y'all a wonderful weekend! Stay OP, and keep the faith...because we CAN do this! :-)

The scale is playing nice with me, but I'm also playing nice with my food intake, so guess it's a win-win here. lol Been upping my walking quota by mixing jogging into my walks, and by increasing the length of my walks. Yesterday was a 7 mile walk, the first 3 1/2 miles was 1/2 mile walk to warm up, then jog 1/2 mile, walk 100 feet, rinse and repeat. Then a nice 3 1/2 MPG walk back to the truck. Was kinda surprised, I did something similar on Monday, and by last night I had a VERY sore butt! Never had jogging work my buttocks before, but then again, never actually jogged that much before, either! lol But hey, it's all good.
On a sadder note, I found that my 7 year old walking buddy, Dink, has bone cancer in his left shoulder. He pulled up sore a week ago, and I took him to the vet on Saturday. The xrays show the bad section of bone up near the joint, and because of his bad hips, he's not a candidate for amputation. I'd never put him through that anyway, he's a large dog, and I don't think he'd come through surgery that was that traumatic very well. I cry daily over this, he has been my "golden child" dog...so good that when we walk (he's always off leash) people will stop in their cars and tell me they can't believe that he's so good. SERIOUSLY! He is the easiest dog to train, picking up in a day what other dogs take weeks to grasp...oh, here I go again. Have a good day, y'all, stay OP, and remember, we CAN do this!

I'm just changing the type of diet I'm following so a bit disappointed that I have to change everything, including my starting date and weight. But if that's what I have to do, that's what I have to do. I haven't been follow the WW point system at all this year, counting calories instead...I've found that with points, I have no idea how my daily nutrients are balancing out, am I getting enough calcium? Is my fat balances with my carbs/protein? All I knew was how many points I was eating, with on firm idea of what those points indicated. I've gone over to the Calorie Count diet because that allows me to see exactly what I'm putting into my body, in real time, so I can make smart decisions.
