I am a 25 year old woman from Indiana. I work at a non-profit that works in HIV/AIDS prevention and counseling. I have been dieting all my life. This time it is going to stick. I am not going to gain the weight back. I committed to the weight loss on November 11th, 2009. My starting weight then was 338.8 lbs, I have since lost over 100lbs by eating less that I am burning. I have a ways to go and I know maintaining will be difficult. I have always been heavy and I am built big, I am 6'3, so I know I will never be a size 6, but my goal is to be healthy.
My basic diet philosophy is eat less than you burn. Eat a lot of fiber, and drink a ton of water. Also don't drink your calories away, except for skim milk.
I know I can do this. I am staying positive.
My husband just recently joined he is JustinPenland60.

Need more fiber & less carbs
I recommend anything by the Fiber One brand. they have cereal, bars, pancakes, muffins etc. I am basically addicted to their products and love them. If you want added fiber Benefiber is pretty good you can mix that in with anything and it basically disappears. My mother in law adds it to her sauces she makes and stir it into her milk and you cant even tell its their. Also just eating high fiber veggies like broccoli is a simple way to go.

Are you public about your weight loss on Facebook?
When I first lost 100lbs I was like I am going to post this on Facebook! Than I started thinking and like Nakita said I don't want anyone to go 'damn how big did ali get?' so I decided against it. I might post the date I hit my goal weight, but I do post updated pictures of my self and get positive comments on those. I do post going to the gym and things like that or when I finished the triathlon I posted that. I feel better putting fitness goals up.
