HerStrawberri's Journal, 15 September 2011

3 more lbs. 3 more lbs then I'm OUT of the horrible 3hundos. i will NEVER be back to this place. It's hard to believe just 5 months ago I was 375. Every time I have to haul around my heavy book bag, I'm reminded of how much weight I've lost. I couldn't even imagine carrying 3 25lb book bags around. But that's what I did, on a daily basis. It's crazy when you really think about it that way.

I've really noticed how thin my face is getting. I keep looking in the mirror now just to see it. I keep expecting my old fatty face to be there. It's crazy how I'm really startng to notice the weight loss. I can also walk up 3 flights of stairs and not get winded. I'm walking so much now. It feels so good.

I still have a long way to go, But I'm so happy for the changes that have already happened. When I first started this, I honestly thought I would never get this far. I had to fully commit and make the decision to NOT be unhealthy anymore. ANYONE can do this. LET ME REPEAT THAT.....ANYONE CAN DO THIS!!!!! You just have to make the conscious decision to DO IT and to fully commit. Until you do that, you will NOT be successful. I'm living it. and so can YOU.

I'm not perfect. I have food issues and I prob always will. BUT I'm trying every day. That's all I can do. That's all anyone can do. The day you stop trying....you fail.

302.6 lb Lost so far: 72.4 lb.    Still to go: 117.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

FANTASTIC, HerStrawberri!!! That's a real accomplishment! I topped out at 305 in 2008 and can really relate to how hard it is to stay the course. Many people have a goal of loosing 10-50 pounds, but for those of us with a longer journey, it's a real accomplishment to stay the course. I've certainly had my ups and downs since loosing 95 pounds within 14 months because it's hard to keep it off and continue to loose. Bad habits die hard, I guess. I'm SO proud of you!!!

Thank you everyone! I'm not a shiney happy person anymore. I have a TERRIBLE migraine right now. I'm at school and just want to be at home in my bed. =( It's my fault. Too little food and sleep is not a good combo for me. AND I forgot to bring tylenol with me. =( =( =( I'm hoping this class goes fast. i also have to stay after and work on a stupid assignment for my Sociology class. We have to use the library system to look up books. HOW this is directly related to Sociology I have NO idea...but an assignment is an assignment. blah. We have a rough draft due today and I've had mine done since Monday night. GO ME! The teacher read it on Tuesday and she liked it so THAT made me feel good. Anyway, sorry for the randomness. I'm trying to take my mind off my stupid migraine.

Do you have a place on campus that you could get something? I know the caf in my uni used to sell all kinds of things.

Thanks Shanna and Pretty. I'm trying really hard to do this weight loss thing. It's not easy. BUT it's easier then I thought it would be if that makes any sense. So many people give up within the first few weeks because they don't push through that first hard BUMP. Yes, there are many other bumps, especially the one called 'I've lost my motivation' or the one 'I've cheated and now I suck'...but for me, the first bump was the worst. I honestly feel like I would be giving up on ME if i stopped. Or just signing my own death certificate to be blunt. You have to WANT to get healthy MORE then wanting to eat that choco cake or 5 lbs of pasta. I tend to write alot when I'm in pain. LOL. Sorry! I'm supposed to be doing my soc assignment and well, it's not going so well. LOL. Pixi, i went to the caf to see if they had any meds and OF COURSE they were all out. LOL

Get them 3 pounds! attack them, kill them, and bury them so they never come back! You have lost so much, and it only proves that you WILL reach your goals! You're amazing!

I've been guilty of giving up on myself many times before, so I understand where you're coming from. I think I'm hitting my initial bump (about 3 weeks into it this time), and it sucks. It's helpful to be here and to be able to realize what's going on. I just have to keep pushing and using wonderful women like yourself as a role model!

This site IS so helpful pretty. Lots of times we don't have people IRL who really understand what we are going through and how we are feeling. I really needed that. Weight loss is hard. You need support and encouragement, especially when you are going through rough patches. I can't even tell you how many times i have come here feeling bad or down and reading journals or writing my own and I always felt so much better reading the responses and others journals. i also got so much inspiration. I have alot of weight to lose, and sometimes that can be so isolating because you feel like no one else out there weighs as much as you or has as much lbs to lose. And really, not many people on here weigh as much as I did or need to lose almost 200 lbs. BUT. We ALL are sturggling with losing SOMETHING or getting healhty and feeling better about ourselves which i think is the MOST important thing. Yeah, I focus alot on the actual lbs, because I'm scale obsessed LOL, but really it's about health and feeling good. Losing inches is just as important, if not MORE because that's what makes us look good. =) yet another ramble. I have to kill time before my bus gets comes!
