Some may call it obsessive but I prefer to weigh myself daily if possible. It really helps me make minor adjustments if needed and has been very motivating.

I just hate weighing myself period but I think I do need to start more regularly like you say it does let you know what adjustments to make that’s a good point 🙂

I don't think it's "obsessive". I think it's interesting and helpful👍

I weigh daily out of habit, but it bothers me not what the day to day number is because I get the concept of the fluctuations. It’s only the trend I’m interested in. I dont even change the number on FS unless there is an up/down of at least half a pound.

Not obsessive whatsoever! I weigh myself as soon as I get out of bed and log it and then I can adjust my eating during the day accordingly.

Definitely be careful doing this. Your weight can fluctuate drastically depending on how much water, sodium, sugar, and carbs you consume. Trends are way more important than day to day

A lot of it really depends on how you deal with the scale emotionally and mentally. I weigh every day, but I keep a 7 day rolling average to smooth out the bumps. If you're someone who gets emotionally wrought up with every weighing, daily weighing is not for you. You also have to keep reality in mind. I've seen my weight shoot up by as much as 3 pounds in one day, but there's no earthly way I had 10,000 excess calories in 24 hours 🤪

I weigh daily also, it keeps me from being in denial about what I'm eating when I go off program, for one thing. It also reassures me when I have those wild, unexplainable weight swings, because I can look back and see what's happened in the past.

I did, but it was driving me crazy for a bit. I will get back to it soon!

I definitely need to weigh often, one for the encouragement and reward of seeing the scale go down and second, to keep myself accountable. However, I am giving myself a weigh in break on mornings after I may have had a salty meal or ate at the top of my calorie allowance so I don’t get discouraged by an uptick…I too can swing up by several lbs. for example after eating Chinese food… so good but I think the sodium gets me…
