I have always been very active and love playing sports but my weight has fluctuated (+- 30lbs) for the last 10 years. The weight would creep up and then eventually I would diet/exercise and cut it back down. The issue is that max weight kept growing and my overall average weight was increasing year after year.

In 2021 I suffered a knee injury while playing basketball and I am positive the extra weight was to blame. Recovery and rehab has been a slow and frustrating process for me. In August 2022, I woke up one morning and just made up my mind that I WOULD get in the best shape of my life, no excuses. From that point on and for the next 2 months, I made sure I was in a calorie deficit every day and was walking 2 to 4 miles daily. The weight started to fall off and I was starting to feel much better.

That progress motivated me to keep going and I got back into the weight room 4 days a week. Now I am currently incorporating running back into my life and training for a 10k, while aspiring to be a the best hybrid athlete I can be. I have hit my original goal weight and have maintained that weight well this time. I attribute that to the slow and steady progress made. I created habits this time around and they are here to stay.

BF (InBody) - 7.5%

Weight - 200lbs (+5 Muscle)
5k - Under 20min
10k - Under 50min
