So much for not weighing myself everyday! I honestly couldn't help myself I was so pleased to have successfully completed my proper first day on the WW plan that I had to get on the scales to see the results! - I know I know, I shouldn't...it's a good job i lost though it would have put me right off if the scales hadn't budged anyway thats put me in the right direction so maybe I can stick to the plan for another week and break the 160 barrier!
Here's to another successful day!

Actually they did a study that showed that people who never weighed themselves gained like 5lbs (during the study, and I'm not sure how long it lasted), people who weight themselves every week lost like 10lbs and people who weighed themselves every day lost like 15lbs. So don't obsess but as long as you're eating healthy and staying active, it could actually help you. I weigh myself every day, but I don't go crazy and obsess over every tenth of a pound I gain or lose.

Thanks for that curvy! i think I'll go with that advice because I'm just so used to weighing myself everyday - I just need to remember not to go crazy over minor gains or staying stead!

I was getting worried because I'd weigh in 2lbs lower than I'd been all week and the next day I'd weigh 5 lbs more! But I realized it was just from snacking late at night, so my tummy wasnt really empty yet. So now I don't eat after 9pm and I'm trying to drink more water to lose any water weight.

Yeah, my weight goes up and down on a daily basis - but I want to hover between 120 and 125 with all my clothes on, not 165 to 170 in my pj's!

lol I'm addicted to scale hopping too. It's more accurate when you weigh yourself at the same time, same spot every day..I always weigh myself after my bathroom visit.

Of course you can break the 160 barrier. We'll do it together x

Yay congrats on the loss. I wouldn't freak out about weighing yourself every day bc of minor gains due to a variety of variables, but if that's what you'e used to and it motivated you, all power to ya! Best of luck you can do it!

looks like i'm a little further away from that 160 mark flossyfee but i'm determined to do this - below 160 but next monday I commit to sticking to the plan for the rest of the week!!

I had to ween myself off of weighing every single day. Some days I'd be three pounds less, some days four pounds more, etc etc. Eventually I started to drive myself crazy. I keep a journal and I would read some of my entries and I realized that the up and down of my everyday weight really had my emotions going all over the place. So I found a simple solution that gives me the satisfaction of seeing my results, without the pesky scale hopping. I weigh myself on Sunday, which is the beginning of the diet week for me. Then again on Wednesday, my hump day. I usually I expect to be down a pound or half a pound by Wednesday, and if I'm not. I go over my eating and exercise and make adjustments (and stop cheating!) if necessary. My final weigh in is Friday, which is right before the weekend and where I do my most damage. If I've been good all week, I'm usually down two or three pounds by Friday. My struggle is the weekend, so when I hop on the scale on Sunday morning, again, hopefully I can maintain my results I saw on Friday. Eventually I want to cut it back until I'm only weighing myself once a week, but the three day a week process is working out great for me.

I think that a really great idea thanks for the tip! I really don't think me weighing myself everyday is gonna do me any good because this morning I must say I ws a bit disappointed with the gain (however small and insignificant it may seem) but the same time I don't think I'm ready for the whole once a week thing - I think ur way of doing things will work really well for me apreciate the advise x
