So, this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down…

Or, this is just my weight loss journey. Hi, my name is Ree. I’m a thinker, a dreamer, a lover, a daughter, a student, a care-taker, an avid Oprah watcher, a Chinese take out addict, the future wife of Detective Robert Goren, Weight Watchers enthusiast, resident “fat one” of the group, social alcoholic, only child, Beyonce and Kim Kardashian idolizer, size 12 Old Navy jeans is my holy grail-er, god fearing, can put anything together, over all interesting character, over weight, size 9 and a half in shoes wearing, 22 year old Black Neo-Socialist.

I have been overweight or obese the majority of my adult life. Most of my weight gain is attributed to emotional eating. There is no thyroid or medical problem here. I’m virtually perfectly healthy, physically. I’m just addicted to salty McDonald’s fries, and Hot Cheetos. I’ve finally decided to stop making excuses and just lose the weight. On March 21 I started my new life style, and I eventually want to weigh 160. I’m giving myself about a year to lose all of the weight.

I’m always up for making new friends and finding people to lose weight with! Don’t be shy about sending messages, commenting, and adding me as a friend. I’ll do my best to be supportive and encouraging!

Do you know the Navy Diet or 3 day diet?
I'd have to agree, /0. Every plateau I've experienced either meant I was slacking on my exercise or cheating on my diet.

seeking advice
I could never cut out carbs. I become a very mean girl when I don't have my bread. I loooove bread, but I've learned to love it in moderation. I mainly watch my points, or calories first, and then tailor my diet to eat as less fat as possible. Then finally I watch my carbs.

Maybe I'm just looking for a way to cheat but .. ( Exercise )
Right now I do about 20 minutes of high power cardio every day. I'm wondering if this is better than doing 45-50 minutes of cardio say, three times a week.

Does it all figure out to the same amount of time spent and calories burned? Which is better or works for you?

I'm still building up my endurance so the concept of running or doing high power cardio for 50 minutes seem impossible. I don't mind working out every day, so long as it's for a short period of time, no matter how intense.

Any thoughts/advice?
