Debbie Cousins's Journal, 04 March 2021

Forgot to report my weight yesterday, apparently. Today I way the same, 240.5. I need to try to focus on the POSITIVE things in my life. Lemme try. I've lost 18.5 pounds so far this year. I've been faithfully making the effort to lose weight, and have not given up, even when I've had to endure weeks of no progress. Most days, I have drunk 8 cups of water, and even though "most days" isn't perfect, it's better than NEVER drinking water, which is where I was before I started. Yesterday, I actually went outside for about a half hour. My little grandson was here, and I watched him jump on the trampoline while I pulled little weeds from my deck planters, where I will be planting green beans. He helped me with that, and really enjoyed it. What little boy doesn't like playing in the dirt! I've got grandchildren who love me and WANT to "go to Grammie's house" at least once or twice a week. My knees have been doing better this year. The sun has been shining and the skies are blue again for the past two days. There's no rain in the forecast for the next ten days. OK, that's some positive stuff.
240.5 lb Lost so far: 18.5 lb.    Still to go: 90.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

18 pounds in just 2 months?! That's awesome progress! I'm right there with you on the water drinking. It was hard for me to drink much at all and now I'm routinely drinking anywhere from a 1/2 gallon to 3/4 gallon daily. My trick is to just pour it down my throat! No sipping, just drink it down and be done with it. And just think of the exercise going back and forth to the bathroom! Win-win! You're doing great!

Your weight will come off if you keep at it. You have already lost 7% of your original body weight, which is enough to show different blood work, reduce stress on your joint, hear, kidneys and liver. Hooray for health!

Your perseverance is awesome. Drinking all that water is awesome. Your faith, support of others, enthusiasm, and journals are commendable.

Breathe~ you’ve done hardest part and that was starting a healthy lifestyle journey. Every day is going to be different you just do the best you can you’re on the right track you’re doing awesome! Your loosing Weight at a healthy level. You don’t want to lose weight too fast I give this one time to catch up to. .As far as water goes, I think a lot of us struggle. I grew up not drinking water as the norm in my household. As an adult, I was lucky if I drank a 16 ounce bottle in a day. 🤣 I started intermittent fasting I knew I had to start drinking more water. So my goal was to at least do my minimum of the daily required which is a half an ounce per pound your weigh & trying to get to 1 ounce per pound is my goal. I have an app - a bell chime timer that goes off every 10 minutes , so I remember to drink my water. 😊👍 I still have some rough days, that I don’t make the minimum daily requirement of water. But you take one day at a time , do the best you can. It definitely helps me and keeps me from being hungry when I drink a lot of water. Good luck on your healthy lifestyle journey keep moving forward and stay focused you got this!! 🍀🍀🎉🎉😊😊🌈🌈🌻🌻

Aren't grandchildren wonderful? Having them around is the most uplifting thing in our lives! Several years ago I made a small raised garden bed and told my grandson and granddaughter it was theirs, and took them to the nursery to let them pick out their plants. That was the beginning of garden love for grandson. He is still at it!
