KayBuckaroo's Journal, 09 July 2020

I got married on Monday to my boyfriend and father of my daughter. I’ve stopped tracking my weight along time ago, weighing in really just have a couple of weeks or so. And I no longer calorie count. The pandemic really altered my life in every single way. I left my job to take care of our autistic son who is going to be seven years old after all of the close schools banded him without someone qualified to watch him and work with him all day. After leaving my job, our family was without insurance. I started planning our wedding immediately. Recovery from My eating disorder is less strong these days but I am getting back on top of it. I’ll never give in and I’ll never give up. Mark my words. I’ve spent the last couple days of my honeymoon at home self quarantine after being around a couple dozen people for the wedding. It’s giving me time to look at our photographs. And it helps me to understand what I truly am dealing with, Having gained back 20 of the pounds I lost. While I was on vacation I began to intermittently fast and go down to one meal a day. It is my way of eating that I had since abandoned After leaving my very active job at the shipyard. I am a suffer of depression and anxiety and I am currently utilizing alternative methods of treatment, and practicing mindfulness while I eat. Food has always been my drug of choice. I know this pandemic has been really hard on people. And I know that’s an understatement. I try to stay off of my phone as much as possible especially with social media because it adds to my anxiety and depression. I miss this community and I want you to know I hope to come back one day. Right now I really have to focus on these babies. I’m happy to report I actually lost 7 pounds since my wedding.Hang in there fat secret family. Stay strong, and I’ll do the same. Lots of love to you all.

Congratulations on your wedding! Depression is a beast!! Try to stay strong and positive. Mine is pretty well controlled, but it does attack here and there. Not easy but you can do it. Enjoy your little ones!! All the hard work and effort will be worth it. Prayers for you and your family. ❤️

Take good care of yourself Kay. This is a tough time in general and it sounds like your family is under additional stress. I am sorry to hear that. I hope you can figure out the health insurance part. I find that aspect dumbfounding as it is not an issue in Canada. Our company health insurance is around things like prescriptions, dentist and massages and such - never anything to do with basic health care. This week I have had an ultrasound, a mammogram and a CT scan and none of it is at a cost. I wish everyone had the piece of mind that health care costs are just taken care of by the government. Congratulations on your wedding!!

Kay, congratulations on the wedding and the loss!!! The covid situation has stressed many in different ways and changed our lives. One of my work teammates has 2 young autistic boys and is struggling as a single mom (divorced last year) and working from home. Trying to find a new balance i think is incredibly difficult.
