I didn't realize I hadn't updated my Bio for 2019. WOW I am behind.

Here is me at the moment. I will be 70 next month. I still do not have my 4 or 6 pack--back to working on that!! A bet with my youngest very athletic granddaughter who has a 6 pack. Love it that my grandsons think it's cool that gramma goes to the gym.

I've been on FS since 2012 have lost 65+ pounds and kept it mostly off for a number of years. 2018 was not nice to me and resulted in battling 3 blown discs in my neck. My neck is doing pretty well now with lots of exercise and therapy. Gained a few pounds with the restrictions and did not change the WOE to compensate for forced less activity.

2019 is getting back into exercise, following my plan more closely, learning some yoga to alleviate pain and gain activity back. My WOE is kind of a cross between Mayo's anti inflammatory and Mediterranean plan. It works for me.

I would not be where I am today without my friends here on FS. My stimulus was lose 50#'s or you will have a knee replacement within a year. Not happened yet: that was in 2012. My cane is no longer used--I'm going to decorate it as a reminder. I no longer limp and walk in pain everyday. So yes!!! losing weight and getting healthier is a HIGE PLUS>

HI, unfortunately the forums are not very active. Post in your journals and you will have more responses. I love this site as without the support here I would not be where I am today. About 70 pounds lost and around goal for 4.5 years. I wish all of your the best on this journey. I totally believe that feeling good about yourself is crucial to weight loss and becoming healthy in body and soul. Without balance in your life nothing works properly. Everything in your life affects your health and weight loss.

Awesome that your concern about another has made you eat healthier. Just a word as I've been there. Take care of you also. If you aren't healthy you won't be able to take care of your Mom.

stopped tracking years ago...........it doesnt have to be forever
I stay pretty steady since being on maintenance for a number of years. I tend to track occasionally just as check up on myself.
