Day 5 of a planned 5 days of mostly ‘no solid food’ fasting

This weekend my goal is to not gain weight. Ok, not gain too much weight. Consuming carbs will cause my glycogen to be re-filled and that will bring on ‘water weight’.

However, for the past few weeks I have consumed a truly *massive* amount of carbs. Last weekend I consumed nearly 1000 carbs!

So, this weekend my plan is to consume no more than 50 carbs a day. Today will be the challenging day. I have dinner planned with an old friend, and he likes Mexican Food.

Lunch is a going away party for a friend at Subway sandwich.

These are the last two places you want to go when trying to go low carb.

For subway sandwich I plan to just get a chopped salad. For the Mexican restaurant I plan to get fajitas without the tortillas and beans.

Those are good options! I love taco salads even my that regular tacos. It’s all about the toppings!

@CrashtestDawnie - Thanks I may try that if they have it. I may like that better :) At lunch I *did* have only the Subway Meatball Salad, so I am currently-on-track 👍🏾

@CrashtestDawnie - Ok, I will get the "El Torito Grilled Chicken Taco Salad" 😁. I just looked it up, and even though it has 28 carbs (why so much?? Do they assume I will eat the shell? I wont...), I put it in Fat Secret and I still come in at 48 carbs for the day 😁! Thanks 👍🏾

I always get fajitas and eat them without the rice, beans, and tortilla. All of that meaty goodness with veggies. Yum. Hard to tell the sodium, but that happens eating out. Love that you planned ahead. Good luck. :0)
