Ok, I need some help. I’ve gained about 2-3 lbs this month and I can’t seem lose it. I’ve been in a calorie deficit. Below 20 net carbs. Yet, I keep gaining. What could it be???
147.0 lb Lost so far: 71.0 lb.    Still to go: 12.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Sometimes the body adapts to your current WOE,and stalls or reverses imbalances. You might need a body jump start,athletes use these techniques. Try a carb refeed adding extra carbs for a few days, to get the body moving,then tapper off again. It has worked for me in the past.I have spent years researching different WOE. There is much information on line about carb refeeds. I teach about it in my college nutrition class.

Long term calorie restriction causes your body's metabolism to adapt and slow down, and yes a carb refeed is probably the way to go. What I've read is that it's a good idea to do the refeed on a heavy weight lifting day --- so, go and smash your muscles, and then eat carbs. Google it and find an approach that works for you.

Stalls suck goose eggs. The trick is to fight through them. I found small adjustments like moving your healthy carbs up and increasing or changing your exercise slightly can jump start the loss. Please oh please do not make drastic changes or give up...just adjust and be patient. Remember it did not go one overnite and a quick loss means a rapid regain. Steady is the way to go.🙋

Thank you, everyone, for your suggestions and advice. I've heard about carb refeeds also and I really do think my body's metabolism has definitely adapted. I also agree, I didn't get this way overnight and I have a lifetime on this lifestyle to go. I'm going to stay steady and maybe try some healthy carb up. Maybe add a little bit of butternut squash or pieces of sweet potato. Any other carb up advice will be helpful! It also freaks me out a little... don't' want to trigger myself. #keto

I do want to mention, I am also intermittent fasting in cause anyone suggests.

You need to carb up to reenergize you metabloblism for a 1 day a week for a couple of weeks then you can go back your body is use to the low carb

I would do a little less dairy and a bit more veggies.

You have lost some weight, have you adjusted your RDI to the lower weight? Also, are you measuring what you eat? It is common to have guessing error without a scale or measuring utensils.
