are you feeling any better after your eating feast?? It took me a couple days too for everything to clear.

I felt just FINE the day after. No problem. Back in ketosis and probably back on carnivore because it's easier. Sick of having a bad metabolism. I just watched dr fung 6 part series AGAIN and watched some of his videos on longer term fasting and read about reverse fasting. I think the only way I'm gong to lose is to fast which sucks but that's life. Nothing else is working and 3 months with almost no results is a set up for failure for anyone

If you decide to fast good luck with your fast :) Please consider an electrolyte supplement. Be kind to yourself. Take Care!

I've been keto already 3 with electrolyte sup the whole time. This time the weight just won't come off. That's a warning to everyone lowering their calories so much. I see tons of keto ladies in their 30s losing fast. But it's not because of keto.. It's because they are only eating 800 calories a day. I'm the result of chronic dieting since i was a kid and our damn govt and doctors spreading lies about aa POS food pyramid.

Good luck finding what works best for you - I hope the fasting does it. You are right about too low of a calorie intake - it will come back to haunt you later because your body rebels eventually.

I think going too low is always a problem in the long run too. fingers crossed that fasting helps you.

@jenjabba - I'll be here supporting you. Unfortunately, I am still in 'weight gaining mode' for my weight lifting. I would rather be fasting. I find it more spiritually satisfying.

Adefweb what's the longest you've gone?
19 Aug 18 by member: jenjabba
@jenjabba - My 'normal' fast is only 5 days (I have done this for nearly 3 months). I have gone 11 days, but I only do 'no solid food' fasts. I normally consume 700+ calories and 10 carbs each day of my 'fast' (mostly in protein shakes with heavy cream). I also exercise a lot and walk 15k steps a day. After day 3 I usually get a 1 pound a day loss.

Got reminded about some deal with insulin resistance, which cause chronic elevated insulin, that make the fat very stubborn. Keto will fix it, but it may take some months before the reversal show significantly. Also got reminded about, when things like skin tags fall off by themselves, it is a sign of lower insulin resistance. Also got reminded about health problems often is associated with poor nutrition, and I know I was guilty of that, with my bread, pasta and pizza past. Not much nutrition there, just energy that got stored. A1c test should give a clue to at which stage insulin resistance is. I did not take one, and only focused on the diet that cure. I had skin tags, and they all went away a long time ago. The body heal every day on keto/carnivore and just sticking to it as a sure way to healing is maybe all that should be in focus right now. This is not a weight loss rase, it is more about getting youthful health...with the side effect of weight loss not too far away.
