I just signed up for this today because I'm extremely disgusted looking at myself. I have absolutely no self esteem and I just want to crawl under the blankets and sleep forever. I was literally desperate while looking on the internet for help and something to motivate me. I researched how to lose weight if your fat and lazy (as I have become) and I eventually found a very good article at Healthline.com; link here - (https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/how-to-lose-weight-as-fast-as-possible) that led to a link, that led to another link to the 'FatSecret' website. I'm going to follow the recommended steps and guidance in the article while using this site to track my performance. I am determined to lose weight and get back into shape for myself as well as all my loved ones. I will graciously accept all advise, recommendations and encouragement from anyone willing to help me - thank-you :)

I just started this two days ago because at 185# and almost 50 it's just getting harder to lose or even maintain. Good luck with your journey. For me, just reading how people are supporting each other here gets my head in a better place.

Thanks D'Lite - good luck to you too :) I'm almost 54 at 276 lbs. I have a long, tough journey ahead of me but 'you' have to start somewhere, sometime if you wanna live a healthier, longer life. Don't give up, you will see the rewards :)

So if anybody is looking at my Diet Calendar Entry for today it shows my complete day as I have it planned out for the whole day (if that makes sense...lol). This is my first time doing anything like this and I want to make sure I have it all completely documented. I am in Eastern time (Ontario, Canada) so I'm coming up to Dinner (or as we call it here in Canada - Supper) soon. First I'm going for a 2km (1.25mi.)walk before Dinner so that it will (hopefully) store properly. Only half way through my first day but with all the support I have seen here I'm confident that I will succeed. I'll definitely post my accomplishments as I gain them.

Went for my pre-dinner walk with my wife and we had a good time. There is a large display map at the start of the trails where we walked, and after confirming our full path, we calculated that we walked right around 3.5km (2.1 mi.). Got back to the vehicle and checked the time and saw that it only took us 50 min! I was pleasantly surprised to find that we were able to walk that distance in that amount of time. It was a brisk walk but we were able to keep it up - surprisingly... lol. Got home and made dinner as planned out and enjoyed it. The real test will be the evening time and trying not to snack all night long now. But I have a backup plan for that - more cucumbers and blueberries. Good night all.

Welcome on board. For now, purge your home of snack foods. Lessens how easy the access is.
