50 pounds gone now and I'm on the cusp of moving out of the obese category. My eating style is working for me, weekly I average around 1,500 calories per day (1,200 during the weekdays and then little excess on the weekend). I enjoy all foods in moderation, but do aim to have 2 servings of veg and 1 of protein at each meal. I'm continuing to improve my physical health.


HI! I'm Amber, I live in the PNW with my hubby. I've been in a battle with the same 20 pounds for the last 20-ish years, I've gotten into onederland a few times, but I slip up and end up back around 220. Part of that is due to PCOS, how I cope with my world via food, and the choices I have made.

Exercise for me is tough, I've had mobility issues from an auto accident 7+ years ago. I've made strides in reducing pain with movement the last couple of years. I'm still trying to find that balance of being active, but not so active that I am injuring myself.

I'm tired of feeling broken, I'm tired of being in pain. I am tired of being fearful of being active. I'm tired of disappointing my husband when he wants to do physical activities. I want to be able to go hiking again.

My intention for 2018 is to be more nimble, wish me luck!
