Sharons Victory's Journal, 25 January 2018

I was getting so depressed because I felt like I should have been losing more than I was...but instead of giving up I decided to go hardcore!!!

I started meal prepping every meal - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I make (2) hard boiled eggs and 2 pieces of bacon (make the bacon in the oven - fast and much better crispness!) for the entire week and put them in separate Ziploc bags so I can just grab and go every day and I made meals for lunch and dinner that I can freeze and microwave. I measured out my protein and measured out my veggies so I knew EXACTLY how many carbs/calories I was getting and I was set for the week! I highly recommend this...only had to store the foods once on Fat Secret so I don't have to reenter the same foods every day too :). I also started measuring out my creamer every day too.

My snacks are more flexible - but I just make sure I have some snacks on hand and make sure they're the right amount of carbs and calories to not make me go too high on either(dried coconut, measured out nuts, string cheese, low carb protein shakes...something). My goal is to make sure I'm NEVER deprived or starving ever :)

I also go to the gym with my mom every morning at 5am but we only do weights and 10 minutes of cardio 3 times a week and 30 minutes of cardio on the other two days. I decided that on the days we only do weights and 10 minutes of cardio that I'll stay when she leaves, because I can stay later than she can, and I do 20 more minutes on the cardio machine :).

I'm now steadily dropping weight with all of this hard work AND finally successfully giving up ALCOHOL!!! I haven't drank for 54 days!!! :)

I'm just going to keep going...OH! And I've been drinking as much ice water as I can.

I hope this keeps going :).

AND - I decided to try on a skirt I couldn't fit in a few months ago and I expected it to just zip up a tiny bit more than it did last time BUT - It zipped ALL THE WAY UP!!!! :) <3

being very diligent with weighing and measuring my food has been so helpful. It actually reduces the food stress because I don't have to constantly worry about "what is in that" before I eat something. I keep a small dry erase board on my counter to pencil the numbers while I plan meals...makes it easy to keep track. All the snacks in my bag for work have the nutrition values sharpie'd on them to help me make good choices. I commend you on your commitment to being healthy and the results in fitting into a smaller skirt. great job!
