I was on a plane from Austin to Dallas to NY. Stevie was 2 seats over. There was a gospel singer between us. They weren't traveling together that I knew of. Stevie was on his way to Nashville as the gospel singer was too.
My cousin took me to see Stevie to sing the night before at a small venue in Austin. I never heard of him before. I had on my carry on a newspaper and he was on the cover. I knew he was someone special the moment he sat 2 seats from me. Warren all I can think of is WOW! He was even wearing snakeskin boots. He had a blue cowboy hat with a snake band and a neat feather on it. He had a long leather coat on. He left such an impact on me. What a beautiful man he was

Being from the North East, I looked out of place. I love the way they dress in Texas. That's probably why I have such a vivid memory of what he was wearing that day

That's wild, Sugar! They say he always would wear like he wore on stage. That's cool you saw his gig the night before. The only rocker I have seen was Ray Manzarek of the Doors. I just said Hi, as I was sitting two seats at a Clippers game.
