Sherrye taking this question seriously i am going to say it is a case by case answer. In my case i will always have a weight problem. Need to gain, need to lose, need to maintain. Others don’t have food obsessions or sugar or carb addictions and just got out of control and may not ever have a weight problem again. Guessing it’s like alcohol. Some folks will always have an alcohol addiction, others recognize they were drinking too much and just stopped and dont ever worry about it again. . Like that.

YOH & Liv, I asked this question after someone said to me last night, "You don't have a weight problem." My immediate thought was to negate the comment. I am where I am because I think about what I eat. I shop for & plan meals to fit into my WOE. One reason I exercise is so I can eat a few more calories & stay close to my goal. I don't have food addictions, but I do love good food. Someone who hasn't known me a long time would not necessarily know how I worked at getting to a healthy weight. Since I eat most foods, including dessert & enjoy a glass of wine or 2 socially, they would not know how I try to ubalance an evening with friends with a lighter meal at home. At this point, I make it look easy to the casual observer. Like I don't have to work at being thinner. But, I will always have to work at it.

I hear you Sherrye. When I started at FS you were one of the first few people I chose to 'follow'. (And I took this very seriously by reading every post of the wonderful people who helped me achieve my goal). The goal was to get back to a healthy weight and not starve or be miserable while accomplishing it. Getting physically fit was also important. I've learned a lot from you that has helped me accomplish my goals and do appreciate your posts. I know I'll also have to 'keep on top of it' mostly because I also love good food & enjoy a glass of wine or 2 socially. Although I don't consider myself having a 'weight problem' anymore. Utilizing the food diary keeps me in check of what's in the foods I've eaten. Thanks again for your posts ✨

I get what you are saying Sherrye. I sometimes get weird looks when I make my odd (to some folks) food choices. I think you are doing so good. I am still working of being good with more than 8 food items (slight exaggeration)
