At what point after maintaining a healthy weight for awhile can you say you don't have a "weight problem"? Does that day ever come?

Up just a tad after 2 meals away from home yesterday. 😊
Monday, I had a really good workout @ the Gym. I upped the weights on a couple of machines. After some previous injuries ( shoulder/arm & hip abductors) I have been staying consistent on the weights, choosing to do more reps instead. I decided it's about time to push myself again.
Tuesday, I finally got a copy of the book for Book Club. There seemed to be a mix-up at the Library. I went to a shop on the square to buy some flavored Balsamic to drizzle over ice cream for my contribution to our meal on Wed. I took time for a walk around the square & popped into a couple of shops. While at the Library, I checked out a 2nd copy of Season 4 of Friends to replace the one I hadn't finished watching but had to return cause of the arbitrary rule from the branch I'd gotten it from of only allowing one week / no renewal 🙄 I was glad my branch had it, cause I'd planned to go home & binge watch the last few episodes. Instead, I went home & binge read the book 📖 I wanted to read as much as possible so I could join the discussion with some idea of what the book was about.
Hubby & I decided to skip the Gym Wed. & go today & Saturday instead. That meant I could accept my Sister's lunch invitation & not have to rush thru my workout to get home in time for BC. It gave me a little time to read more of the book between lunch & going out.
We had a great meal at Book Club....as usual. The Hosts served a lovely Pork Loin Roast & there was asparagus, a mixed salad, fresh fruit & mushroom risotto for dinner. I brought Vanilla ice cream with Blackberry Ginger Balsamic to drizzle over it for dessert. We mixed it up a bit....after discussing the book, we watched the movie version the Hosts had rented on Amazon. The Book was " The Accidental Tourist"....an older book & the movie came out in 1988. We enjoyed comparing the 2 😊
We were talking afterward & a comment was made that took me aback. Someone said to me....you don't have a weight problem. I think I responded with something along the lines of....That's only because I'm careful of what I eat. I lost 40 lbs. & don't want to gain it back. It got me to thinking....how long do you have to be in maintenance before you stop thinking you have a weight problem? I spent my whole life "dieting"....losing anywhere from 10 to 30 lbs. many times & then needing to start again when I gained weight. I don't diet anymore....I have a different mind set to the whole process. This is how I eat now. I eat what I want & like, but I can NEVER eat unlimited portions without thinking about it ever again. Food for thought....
