liv001's Journal, 18 April 2022

New Week. I am excited. A bit of sunshine today.

Weight is up. I did not use the scale but given that I feasted I assume so. So my plan is a bit of "famine" after all that feast. I will weigh at the end of the month to find out if my "intuitive" is totally broken.

Eating all that food made me feel so good. It is a bit scary... but a good reminder for me. Eating a lot makes me feel so good but I also know being fat does NOT so I have to choose my "good".

I am still lowcarbing. Plan is to meet with the doctor this week get all the tests and bloodwork done and just see where i am at and then go from there. I like my doctor. He always says the aim is to be healthy... and if I am healthy everything else is just fine.

I made a turkey and yesterday I cooked bone broth all day. So now we are ready to combat cold, flu or covid should they happen in our household.

Have a great week everyone!!!!

I think when we're young (20's & 30's) we don't care what we put in our bodies, so long as we look good in our clothes. But all the saturated fat adds up over time, and then we have our first Lipid Panel. Quality counts, definitely! I like that even though your scale says one thing, that you're off to check your organs' health, too. 🤕

I eat mainly saturated fat. It is my thing... I believe it is healthy and good for me. We will see what the numbers are this time around.

That looks like a really tasty and healthy stock - Your own weight loss and achievement of a Healthier state of being speaks for itself. Your doctor must be delighted in your improved physical condition. Have a great day - take in some sun for me - Nothing here - 80 km wind gusts! Welcome to Canada - isn't it a Pity.

I'm glad you had a good time and were able to relax a bit. I'm entering "famine" stage currently as well for my reset. I've got a lot of work to do! You are my example, Liv! I'm sure that pot of broth will be absolutely lovely! Happy spring! ❤️

@Jergens... the wind has been relentless this spring. Dried up the moisture unfortunately. A bit less wind here today... maybe snow tomorrow... oh welll

@Melissa. Thanks. Good luck with your feminine. I do not mind a few lean days... Broth is in fridge. I will skim off the fat and freeze it.

Love the profile too!! 💘 Tell me how to do bone broth. I have my entire turkey carcass ready?! Now what??

Add water... a little bit of acid (vinegar) to help the bones let go of minerals and then lots of time... I do 8 hours but the longer the better. I also add add an onion, some celery and carrot to flavour the broth. When it has cooled I scarpe away the fat so if skin goes in there it is fine.

Thanks, Liv. Will just wait for lab results and a sit-down with the doctor (I refused to go on Statins). I hope yours go really well, too 💖🤗
