Ohio has now issued a stay at home order and i think that has raised my anxiety but know it is necessary.

It is my opinion (only an opinion) that there should be a national stay at home order. Radical conditions require radical responses.

Here is hoping you are all well where you are.

Have a good week, all, recognizing that it is difficult during these times.

I think so too, as long as people can travel within the USA this will not be contained.

Unless the president calls for Marshall Law, it is up to each state to determine their restrictions. We are in a 30 day shelter-in-place. Only essential services open. Be careful what you wish for in these trying times.

Our City Council had a meeting this morning & DID NOT decide they should instruct our local restaurants to close except for takeout. I'm surprised they won't take that step. We have 1 confirmed case in our county but I'm worried it's going to increase if we aren't more diligent.

SherryeB, if you're in the USA, why hasn't your governor taken action?

Some of our counties have no confirmed cases, yet we are all under the same restrictions.

Wise opinion. We need to protect the healthcare workers, the vulnerable, the people with underlying conditions.

I agree. People are still moving the virus around - as long as it lives it’s going to keep spreading and mutating. So it needs to be starved.

Update** I don't know if I received faulty info this morning or something changed but our county HAS been declared by our City Government in a State of Emergency. All resteraunts must close for dining but are allowed to do curb side/ takeout pickup. All gyms are closed as well. We have a 9PM to 5AM curfew. We also had a second confirmed case. Even knowing these are the right measures it gave me a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach when I read this.

I live in California and there is a Stay at Home as well. Same as Sherry says. Dumb ass people are crowding the beaches thinking that they are not going to get sick! I hate people right now I am glad that I am working at home cuz otherwise I may curse out the public!!

I'm in Ohio too, and I work for the State. my job considers me an "essential " employee so I go in every day...its kinda scary walking to my job, and the streets are empty.

We here in the Kansas city metro are under a 30 lockdown order. Only certAin businesses Are allowed to remain open to the public. I have been working g at home remotely for over a week as they closed my building due to a case in our building on a different floor.. Several cases within our company. No beaches here but the 2 stores I have seen not respecting the distance rules safe Wal-Mart and Aldis the staff has also not been provided gloves or any methods to limit contact. that is awful. I have been in grocery and hardware stores the past 2 weeks.

I’m also in California with the Stay at Home order... but my job is considered “essential” so I have to be super careful with my sanitation and social distancing when I’m out at work. Wish I could work from home... I don’t want to risk getting covid-19. :(
