I was extra naughty after my workout yesterday. Cheesecake Factory ❤️❤️ I ate the entire slice sitting in my car before work 😆 I didn’t eat the mound of whipped cream though. Probably saved a couple hundred calories
I did box squats yesterday. Took a little while to situate the box just right. I did a ton of reps 😆 Squating low feels alright but I’m going to have to use the box for a bit to make sure I’m doing it “right” 😒 I only slept a few hours last night and I have to go into work at 11am so I’m not going to the gym this morning. I’m currently on my second cup of coffee. I’m off tomorrow 😍 Hope you guys have a great day 😄

Oh yummmm! That looks so good! OK, so what is a box squat? Maybe I'll try to look it up. I do a lot of swats, and lunges with weight, but I have only used a squat rack or dumbbells. A box?

Box squats are when you use a little wider stance and sit on a box/seat and then stand with the weight all the way down - box, full stop, stand and repeat. Isolates the glutes like crazy!

Yes pumpkin cheesecake for the win! I work across the street from it and the only reason I don’t go there every week is because I know that most of the cheese cakes are 1500 calories!! I Can Not eat “some” of the slice. I must eat All of it (which takes less than 10 minutes) so I stay away from that deliciously evil place 😂😂 It’s been almost a year since I’ve been.

That looks SOO GOOD!!! lol. I've never been there. I'm scared to go! Cheesecake is my kryptonite... I can't stop eating it lol.

I do the box squats a lill different. I cose the small box and I squat until I feel the box touch my booty and then stand up (with all my might!) I was very surprised that I didn’t get sore. Well I feel my glutes are sore but Nothing like I’d expect! I didn’t get sore from deadlift day either!! I do have a pain in my back that I’ve been ignoring. It’s not workout related. I picked up a printer at work and the customer let go and caught me off guard. Every time I pick up a bulky box, the spot will hurt that day and then I’m fine. I did that on Sunday and it still hurts 😑

Thanks dawnie for explaining what you are doing! I'm really trying to go low, and having a better judge than trying to see in a mirror might be the ticket! 😁

Good luck Melissa! Without recording or having someone watch you, it’s really difficult to know! I actually tried to record myself but had the WORSt angle EVer! 🤣😳🤭 I had the phone on the floor leaning up against the squat rack. It was just All booty lol and I couldn’t even see if I broke parallel 😪
