Happy happy rainy Tuesday...

Doctors visi yesterday went better then I thought..but I also figured with my workouts..that would help...I’m a big frame guy...the reason I was put on the blood pressure med...was as a precaution...she put me on that thinking my blood work wouldn’t be as good as it was...my magnesium was down..I take 250 mg..should be 800.. easy fix...my ldl was high...even though I thought I was eating healthy...my cholesterol was 174... she wanted to leave me on the bp med for 4 months...but when she told me my blood work was that good..we talked some..and I got her to set up next appointment in a month..September 22 or 26.. or 28... would have to look on fridge...so I have a month..to change things around...and I started yesterday...by upping my magnesium..and having oatmeal at 4pm..to hold me over till I eat breakfast at 730 am..don’t like to eat that late the day before..but that’s the way it worked out...

Today is walmart day...list a little longer..picking up stuff that I hope will get me back on track..did some googling yesterday..at lowering cholesterol and ldl..I’m not much for a lot of carbs..but if that’s what it takes..so be it..

She also told me I didn’t need the creatine...and asked why I use it..told her it helped my leg muscles recover faster..still have a months supply to work thru...IL be using it..till it’s gone as I see results..

Welp..time for breakfast..then walmart..

Have a fantastic day...

So your HDL did not "cancel out" the LDL. Did you have a nice long fast before the test. You can get wildly different readings depending on how much you fasted before taking it?

Liv..i had fasted 15-18 hours befoe doctors apt...ate breakfat cause they didnt tell me different...after visit with doctor..then blood test..so..results may have been different if i had been fasting before blood test

A thought...if the Hdl would have cancelled out the ldl...would my cholesterol have been lower as well

No the total would still be high. I guess it depends on your doctor's take, but mine always look at my HDL and says .. if it that high... it is all good. That blood test will be very iffy if you had a bit to eat. Make sure to fast 12 hours before doing your next one.
