Happy happy Tuesday....

Was up at 4am..took blood pressure med instead of at 430am...like I had been doing..and then getting on bike to do a zwift ride/workout...and yes..just like yesterday it stayed lower except when going up hills...been trying to keep beats per minute down between 120-140 when I ride...I’ve noticed that I’m not exhausted like I once was...and I’m still getting a great workout in the process...you can ride hard and be exhausted after 30 min...or you can ride smarter..

Was proud of myself at walmart...picked up less cheats..Half gallon of salted Carmel ice cream..mmm...good...and more veggies...and it was higher...but I also..shouldn’t have to pick up as much next week..the stuff that was higher..is stuff I pick up every 2 or 3weeks...and I like to stock heavy..in case weather turns bad..and walmart is closed..lol....or I’m to lazy to get out...

43.. feels like 38...gotta get out later..long enough to get trash container out at curb for trash pickup tomorrow...they use to have a schedule...now like everyone..it’s when they get here...

Welp...hungry again..second day of riding an hour and not using an energy gel at the 45 min mark of the ride..that’s normally when my energy level is gone and I’m trying to replenish it...but by riding in the lower heart rate zone...energy level has lasted longer...less energy gel usage....more real food at meal time...

Time for breakfast....

Happy happy Monday...balmy 39 outside...yippeee....

Body was getting use to just random workouts on zwift...so have decided to try using the workouts in zwift...today’s workout was 2x15 intervals.....the workout seemed easy...I also noticed that by taking bp meds at 4am..instead of 430am...and getting on bike at 530am...my bpm seemed a lot lower today....thinking an hour before taking bp med...isn’t enough time....will have to experiment a little more....after first ride..link https://www.strava.com/activities/2873681169 ...wasn’t really ready to quit..so did another short ride..just to try and add miles on..that I didn’t get from first one...again heart rate..or bpm..stayed down....down around 140bpm..when going up a hill...normally...I’m hitting 152-155 on same hill....

Walmart day today...list is about the same...that seems to work for me...and actually...it’s just something to take away the hunger...lol

With different workouts..trying to eat more...to keep from being hungrier thru my next day rides...a little is ok..but a lot causes me to grab a gel....and even though they are sugarless...they do have more carbs...

Tweak here and there once again....

Time to change....long johns....of course a long john donut does sound good....mmmmm....lol...

Happy happy Sunday....my nights go by to quick..

Did a short ride on zwift today..30 min...yes at the end of the ride I almost kept on peddling...but I quit...rode Emily’s short mix in London this morning...just needed a few miles to hit my weekly average...actually the ride was easy...the ride like many...rewards you with stars...you have to ride at a certain wattage...for so many seconds/minutes...you hit the mark..your reward is a 🌟 ....I hit all mine...I got 13 ⭐️ ....something different...

Tomorrow is walmart day...so gonna make my list today...cut down on some of the salty cheats...get more veggies to add into the riced cauliflower...that I have started having along with my salad...as with the riding on zwift..kinda mix eating up as well...

I was having Duncan donut coffee I bout at walmart...but after my morning workout...at about 10am or so..I was getting sleepy...and having to take a nap...it was caffeinated...I got off the coffee..went back to caffeinated green tea...no naps...

Well...time for breakfast...and morning green tea....

Happy happy Friday.....

No ride on zwift today....have rode on zwift 19 days in a row...just seeing how many days I could..but this morning..when I woke up to the sound of the alarm on cell phone...I knew 24 hours between rides...just wasn’t gonna get it today...the want to continue my streak was there...but I knew yesterday...that my body needed a longer rest period...better to listen to my body then to be off longer....

The little bit of snow we got has almost melted...sun has been helping with that..in the 40s today...and more sun....

Having time...and energy...do some cleaning on road bike..and cleaning the chain...was getting pretty greasy from all the riding..and to tired to clean it the way it needs to be...air up front tire..even though it’s on trainer...has slow leak in tube...sure I could fix it..but....being an inside bike...why mess with it...

Things I’ve learned from 19 days of steady riding...
Little voice is quiet..
Once you get past the first week....it becomes a habit...
Riding in zone 1..or recovery zone..helps you to recover faster...
Looked back thru my stats on rides...last few had been higher in zone 3...tempo
Strayed from my eating habits..had to..was burning more calories even after the ride
Riding consecutive days..you get in a grove..not sure if it’s good or bad..but the days/workouts...were a blur

A rest day today...well..that’s the plan....if only I take it...
