This update is important to me...
I just returned home from a doctors visit. The doctor is aware of me tracking my food intake and exercise and encourages me each visit. I'm glad he does too because some friends and family have let me know that they think I'm too obsessed with the two. Well today he cut my diabetes medication in half. He cut one pill I was taking about six months after I started lifting again which was about a year and a half ago. Today he reduced the two pills I have been taking to one a day. No Keto or fasting, I just practiced CICO and lifting. I skipped breakfast this morning because of blood work but tonight I'm hitting my favorite Asian buffet!!!

Good for you. I am glad that you are doing this in a controlled manner - CICO as that is totally sustainable. Good that the doctor visit is reinforcing what you are doing by changing meds and being supportive. Many people are uncomfortable when other people are making a change in their lifestyle habits. Often it is a reminder that they should be considering the same move. That is usually the root cause of saying you are obsessed. Truly their own to figure out. You do what you know is making you feel better.

I have dealt with this issue with many friends over the years. Critical remarks about my smaller portions or restaurants that I just wont go to etc. but the deal is, I’m alive and the biggest critics aren’t.

I have never had my husband said anything about my eating... (well actually when I was unhappy on a low carb diet, he did say to give up) but i eat my big meals with him all the time. He don’t see when I only eat 3 egg and done. Other than that, I couldn’t care less what people say, especially now in days.

Thanks a million to each and every one of you. I did celebrate last night but today is my new starting line. I encourage everyone to stick to your plan and don't give up.

Frickin Awesome John!! You just quietly go about your business over the years here on FS and keep on the blueline. You know I was in the same boat in 2015, except I dodged the final steps into Type 2. I am probably "obsessed" too with keeping on top of my health, but that is a "problem" I can live with as the alternative is so much worse!! Hope you have a great weekend mate!!
