I am so sad, confused, disgusted . The only change I made is I adjusted my carbs to be 5% or less than total calories. And it backed fired big time. Blood test for Keto went from 2.4 to 1.2 Glucose 78 to 107, that I know why. The 78 was in the afternoon the 107 was a fasting morning reading. Weight 194 to 200.2. This all happened when I was being diligent about intermediate fasting. Two meals per day. First at 1 the next at 5. That is a 20 hour fast each day. I don’t test every day I do it once a week. I new something was wrong because My mood is awful. I am so irritated, I can’t even stand to look at my husband or myself. Even my beautiful little guys piss me off.

Yeah that is confusing. Did your carb amount go up or down when you adjusted? Do you feel bloated? Something threw you out of ketosis?

Nana Ellen, random blood sugar testing doesn't tell you much. To get an idea of how your BS responds to food, you need to test once before a meal and test again two hours after your first bite, and do this consistently for a week or two. Elevated fasting BS (i.e., upon rising in the morning) may signal "dawn phenomenon." That's when the liver responds to what it "perceives" as overnight "starvation" by converting stored glycogen to glucose for immediate use. To avoid this, you would eat a 100-calorie evening snack of protein and fat (no carbohydrate), such as one large hard-boiled egg.

Also, a two-pound weight might be attributable to constipation. When you cut back on total carbohydrate, you may have also cut back on fiber. Try eating a few more carbs but choosing low-carb/higher-fiber vegetables (e.g., asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, kale, cucumber), fruits (e.g., berries), and avocado (very low in net carbs). Also, I find that I have to take Miralax (the Walmart version) and dissolve a fiber supplement in my coffee, tea, or hot food to get my daily fiber above 20g. Keeping track of fiber grams is key for me.

Miraculum I think you figured out my weight gain. Psyllium husk was part of my everyday routine but I ran out. I am ordering more today. Now I have to work on the rest of it.
