probably it is water retention! You have to be patient. I did great yesterday and I also gained weight. 😉

Well yeah! I can understand that. I know from reading around that some people do seem to be needing a longer time. My advice would be to go over your meny thinking if there are any hidden carbs you are not counting. Stay away from things like breads or products like that till you get going on your ketosis. Focus more on your ketosis and forget fasting till you get it started. Lower carbs a few nudges, add more fat if you feel like it and see if those sticks start to move. But some people will never get result on sticks so you may have to take feel into account as well

Hang in there. Go back over your menu. Also, be careful about too much dairy; it can cause inflammation in a lot of people. Try not to have more than 4 oz of dairy in a day (butter is excluded from this) and see if it helps. Also, check for any grain items that may be sneaking in. I drink so much water that the sticks have never worked great for me. Also, make sure you are getting enough water. I shoot for 1/2 my body weight in ounces a day. Remember slow and steady wins the race.

Hmm... I read a few conflicting views here but yes you do need to be consistent. Whatever “your plan” is, it should include some unchaining known facts: 1. What are my maintenance calories? That is how many calories does my body require to stay at my current weight? 2. How many calories will I need to cut from my maintenance calories each day (or by fasting) to start loosing weight? Note:1lbs=3500 calories. Looks like you’ve done this already awhile ago! You can this bull by the horns again! We know you can! GO!

It's going to hit you all at once. Just be patient and try not to weigh yourself for 2 weeks.

I noticed you listed salads in your food diary but no salad dressings.. are you forgetting to count that? Sometimes there's more fat and calories in my dressing than my whole salad.

keto sticks are unreliable, you could be in the process of burning ketones. don't rely on the scale either. keep on keeping on & see what tomorrow brings

Nana, I'm with you- girl Grrrr! THAT DAMN NUMBER. How dare it! Oh well, thank God you did everything with deliberate intention because that is the one weakness of THAT DAMN NUMBER. It's kryptonite...if you do your thing with honesty and intention... THAT DAMN NUMBER will back off. Don't fall for it's tricks. It is a big LIAR and says things that make you want to quit- and when you quit- IT WINS! Bwahhhhhhaahahahahahahaha Don't let THAT DAMN NUMBER make a quitter outta you. You have what it takes to be successful.

What Zaxu said. Stick with it and know that there are plateaus, water weight, other BS, but when you're consistently doing the right thing it will pay off!!

We're rooting for you! You'll make it past 200. Keep doing what you know is right.

Another thought: Try balancing the percentage of total carbohydrate with that of your protein. When we eat "too much" protein relative to very-low-net-carbs, AND are insulin-resistant (as most obese people are), the liver converts immediately-available (just-eaten) protein into glucose, not ketones! The pancreas recognizes that glucose production and secretes insulin in response, but that then converts *unmetaboliizable* carbohydrate into stored body fat. Our bodies are so brilliant ... and DASTARDLY!

Just remember- our weight fluctuates throughout the day based on liquids, meals and elimination. Seeing one pound difference on the scale does not necessarily mean you are gaining or losing weight. Try not to let that 1 lb get you down- if you feel better and have more energy- that is a much more reliable type of feedback. Love to you!! ❤️❤️❤️
