Sharons Victory's Journal, 15 January 2019

I made this calendar so I can have a visual of my consistent success day-to-day to remind me to look at the big picture.

In the past I've put a big red X when I reached my goals for the day.

But question is...what do you think...should I only get an X if I reach carb count goals AND calories or just calories?

Or maybe a half X if I got one or the other?

Are you going to do ketosis low carbs (keto)? If that is the case it is worth tracking it. If you are just lowering but not worrying about ketosis, then stick with your calorie x

Having a way to physically see your progress is a great tool to stay focused. I write my targets at the top of the white board I use and use different colored pens (green and red)for go/no go. but you can draw a happy face too...positivity is a good thing.

yeah I'm shooting for 20 net carbs to stay in ketosis...so no mark for success if I reach calories but not carbs?

Buy some little shiny stars, or some other kind of stickers at the stationary store or somewhere like Office Max. You DESERVE shiny stars!

I do this. I find its best to keep it simple. An X for any day Where I met one of my goals. It’s motivating to look back and say, “well I wasn’t perfect, but I’m moving in the right direction.”

Use the x . one directional leg for carbs the other leg for calories. just so you know I ate a pop tart this morning. feeling a little guilty but it was good. Regrettably I have a headache now from the sugar. I bring it up to let you know you're not alone with the pie.

As you add goals you need to give yourself for each of them. Never all or nothing. So use different stars, colours or whatever for each goal. That way if you hit 3 out of 4 you see that. I am assuming you may add other things on like exercise or water drinking etc.
