ok, I am a loser, no not in the good sense (no Pounds) but life..... I'm upset, i'm sick of my life I'm not doing things right, I'm tired...Tomorrow I am going to tell my "job" I'm don't want to be here, I will punch a clock and do work until you find someone else, or in a year then I am retired...I'm 63 almost 64 I thought I would be retired by now....I am just so tired of stuff... The only big issue is it is a family business, so that is the bit issue. But I really have to do this for ME, right?

Hang in there. Do what you have to do. If it is right for you, it is right

Being unhappy does NOT make you a "loser," @JMA312! Sage advice, @liv001. It's important that you be happy. I'm praying God will give you the wisdom you need to make your decision, and then the peace to know that it WAS right. "If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not (doesn't hold back)"

when you feel like that it is time for a vacation or a change. you have to figure out for yourself which may work better for you in the long run.

thank you all for your comments and supporting words. I did not go into work today, I really still don't feel well. I had a migraine yesterday and it has worked through the rest of my body. I'm achy and lightheaded. So I'm home today. I really do have to go to work tomorrow and we will see what happens, right now I am just so unsure of everything.

I know you are in a rough spot right now. I have been there. Follow your heart. But don't just quit with no plan for what you will do moving forward. Take time to plan it out. It can be your little secret. Work on it and see what you can come up with that will meet your needs. Then quit or retire. Knowing full well that you are moving on to something better. Good luck to you. Be strong.

I think that around your age, if you can afford it, you're entitled to do what makes you happy. If they have a proper advance warning of your departure to be able to train someone else, you can leave with no regrets or guilt. You only have one life to live.
