Did keto diet for SEVEN WEEKS without cheating. Then I got sick yesterday & snacked on carbs all day 😭. I'm back on track today & I'm not going to weigh myself for a couple days. Still feel like crap today but I REFUSE to spend another day sabotaging myself! Going back to bed. Ugh.

drink lots of water to flush your system! you need it. sorry you are ill and it is a pain to feel aweful. I ate like crazy yesterday too but all food within my woe

It will be fine. You should be fat adapted now and one day of carbing will not have much effect.

Thanks 😓 I'm worried that I'm going to have to go through carb withdrawals all over again, but so far I'm ok. I used to ONLY eat yummy carbs, no meals, so my eating yesterday was completely reverting to old habit. I'm gonna have to number my water bottles with a sharpie like I used to (so I drink enough) because I don't love water lol

I’ve noticed longer yor on this lifestyle...faster you work thru the carb withdrawals..

I TOTALLY get ya, been on keto for a month, lost 10 lbs, but never used to eat meat, just carbs, bread, pasta, pizza, frozen meals. I went through "Keto flu" first week, still crave carbs on the cold days or stressful days, so don't beat yourself up too much. Carbs are comfort, especially when ill, just feel better, then get back on track! hang in there!

I have been Keto for 18 months and I have found that when I have a carb day that I feel bad for several days after. My body just does not handle to higher carbs anymore. But when you do have a carb day, the carb cravings really kick up for several days.

the longer you are on keto the quicker it is to jump back into the program unless you take an extended trip into carb land. one day is nothing! glad you are kicking it today
