I'm a night shift guy, so to wake up at 7am feels unnatural these days. Work has me starting an early shift today, so I'm of to the gym now.

I forget how crowded they are at this hour, but it's chest day for me, so gimme a bench and some dumbbells and I'm set - no competition!

But this new diet is the biggest experiment: <300 calories and only 41g of carbs to get me through 30 minutes of an intense chest destruction session!

Post-workout is the carb/protein/caloric reward though at nearly 600 calories. After eating 1200+ calories per meal for so long, I've all but forgotten what "normal" looks like lol.

We shall see how it turns out soon... 🤞

You'll be fine. When I was lifting with my partner(he can't now on dayshift) I was doing 1.5 hours on an empty stomach. It may be more mental than physical. Of course, my largest meal is right before bed, so maybe that helped. :P

Just get some caffeine in, it works better on an empty stomach anyway.

Yep, I remember during one of my long fasts. I've only done 24+ hours 2 times and this was my record at 60+ hours, I did deadlifts and actually hit a PR that year. I think it was more because I wanted to prove to myself that I could still push myself. It may make a difference but nothing to psych out over. Have a good workout! Tear those baby turtle shells up!

it's why I don't want to bulk , because I get used to eat that much and then I am suffering. I do my workouts with empty stomach, just a cup of coffee and water.

Chris, either the military has unique idioms, or you're mixing making hay with another. Because making hay means take advantage of the situation. As in, something beneficial for you arose and you made very good use of it. Not sure what you're referring to. :)

Yes, I will do that "Slow Gains" , I mean, during the week I don't have problem eating 1200 calories per day, but my weekends are my downfalls, so I need to have a higher RDI , my ❤ loves to feed me🤗😐. He is weighing 210 lbs, but he is 6'2" tall , he eats whatever he wants and do not gain weight 🙄

Yes, right now I am closing my week with 1700 calories per day, sometimes 1800 😁.

I had been eating 1800 to 2000 before(When I reached my "goal weight" of 110 lbs, but it was during the summer, I was more active.

but I decided that I want to have a leaner body so I starting shred my stubborn belly fat, "Slowly " . I am almost done with that 🤗🙏
