ug! I had to get creative tonight when I discovered I was under calories again and had no unthawed steak. Had to mix some cream in some eggs, both items that I am less than tolerate to, in an attempt to make up the difference. I was going to work out twice today but I want to sleep tonight which I will not do if I am too far under calories. I am low enough. may take a bite or two of my husbands pork chops.

The same here, if I do not eat enough, especially at dinner, I can not sleep, and if I do not sleep, the next day I will want to eat everything I have at home

Baskington, I love you, but "unthawed" means it's still frozen. 😂

that's the difficulty, being under. I ran out of ghee and usually add that to the meat to get decent calories. with meat only I'm at about 700 calories. Next week is my ribeye week! messy. they are on sale big time here.

It’s hard for me to get enough. As you have noticed 😅. I usually eat nuts to increase my cals. Today at dinner I added butter and cheddar cheese to my pulled pork. I could feel everyone’s eyes on me (some of my family is visiting) as I made my meal as fattening as possible 😜🤣

Adefwebserver go a week on steak only, that will shock up your body if you haven't done that yet 🙏

I think I am the opposite - I can't sleep if I have too many calories - especially if I eat close to bedtime - hope that the eggs and cream don't bother you too much and that you get your good night's sleep!

unfortunately ghee does not do well with me jenjabba, I can get away with a little butter once in a while. I will plan better today. I have two steaks out! ribeyes are great and it is awesome you got them on sale. I can get some kind of big porterhouse type roast at Sam's club for $6 and change,,, a pound I may try some of that this week. time to go shopping. I need to go today or tomarrow

Sorry you have that problem Nikeit, eating no carb food tends to help with the sleepiness, especially chicken or turkey. chicken definitely makes me sleepy as all get out!

It is never too late to change your woa Adef, actually going fatty steak omad would help you lose your weight. I am a big advocate of natural food and nothing is better for no carbs like a big juicey fatty steak. eat a pound of steak a night and water fast I bet you would lose like crazy with all your exercise. no carb is the way to go! I was just eating too much fat, definitely not gaining either.

Ran into a similar situation, and now I have a bit too much thawed out. May get it roughly right in a few days. 😉

you eat until full Diddlee making sure you eat the fat first if you are going carnivore, when you can't eat more fat you switch to the meat. some people need to eat it that way to give them time to adjust and make sure they satisfy their appetite, you bigger guys can put away a lot more steak a day then I can. I have doing this for a while and know about how much meat I need to eat so I like to ration it out so I get a bit of fat on as many bites as I can. I love it. I have fat steaks and generally go through 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 steaks a day. lose some of that pre weight after cooking so they are less than what I started with. once you get adjusted it is easier to figure things out. never allow your steak near other meat it will brown out very quickly. made that mistake the other day putting a chicken near my thawed steak, within hours I had big brown spots on the steak

Where in the world did you hear eat fat first? I personally disagree. Eat food. Fatty cuts, cook with butter etc.

Almost there you can do it

this is the way Bear described it and it works well for many that have a problem with realizing when they are full. I don't have that problem I have the opposite. I tend to not eat enough. But there are a lot of people on the carnivore sites struggling to feel full after eating up to 3 pounds of meat. I sincerely think a lot of them are not eating enough fat. I understand cooking in butter and pouring the melted butter on your meat to help get your fat ratio up. I use my excess steak fat to add fat to my chicken meals as they are too low in fat and I am not satisfied even after eating half a 5 pounder. so I totally get where those people are at. I personally can't use a lot of butter, I can get away with a pat, but that is not anywhere near enough to make up a lean meal.

Crash you do a pretty healthy way of adding to your fat calories unfortunately I have limits on what I can eat. good that you are getting your balance

Baskington, i think it is hard to calculate calories / macros from meat. I honestly guess, i probably over guess, i do weigh, but , lets say i weigh out 6 oz of ground beef, how do we really know how much is in it unless we sop up the grease from the pan and drink it :-) lol that is what the keto hacking MD guys had to do to count everything. I don't know.
