Nidoqueen's Journal, 13 August 2018

Just another pound and a half and I will have lost 50 lbs. September 6 marks my six month anniversary of starting Keto (it also happens to be my birthday). I am planning a feast day celebration and pulling out all the stops for ONE day. I have followed this way of eating (I refuse to call it a diet) faithfully without fail for six months. Even when I "allowed myself to cheat" I couldn't bring myself to break my macros so this may truly be my first splurge day.

I used to have this fantasy, that by some miraculous happenstance, I would suddenly and without explanation, wake up skinny. I told myself that if this were to actually happen to me, I promised that I would faithfully watch what I ate to maintain my shiny brand new physique. I harbored this stupid fantasy for years! Until one day I woke up and realized that if I started now, acting like I had a shiny new body to maintain, maybe one day I'd actually have one! And it's working <grin>.

So... my plans are to start age 55, weighing about what I did at age 25. That excites me to no end.

Happy Monday!

you are doing awesome and nothing wrong with taking a break day, we all deserve a splurge on our birthday. Just pick wisely so you don't feel ill. some foods will effect you less than others. I thoroughly enjoyed my ice cream and I also enjoyed the sugar high all day. had a hard time having any appetite for anything else though. LOL!

Thanks! I think I'm planning a mexican dinner out and something chocolate to follow. I will probably limit it to OMAD that day :-)

Super awesome post!! Your 50s are going to be fabulous! So true about training for the body you want!! This guy who i follow on YouTube, brix from brix fitness (i totally recommend him for great info and inspiration!) says you have to mentally become the kind of person who has the body you want. You have to develop the habits that fit ppl have. It definitely is not magic, lol!
