I go through a lot of eggs too. I live very rural, so fresh from the farm.

I like eggs too. An Aldis had them for 47 cents a dozen this week. Everyone in the store was buying eggs. Including me.

I need to get more eggs in I think. Any idea why I get a message that says I cannot follow more users when I try to follow you? Also, is it not possible to look at food diaries of others on this program? Still new and trying to figure it out. Thanks. Your progress is wonderful!!

We used to buy the 2 1/2 dozen flats. Easy to store in the fridge and cheaper. You can save those doz cartons too and put the eggs in them from the bigger packs if you need to stack them up individually to save space that way. So.... are you making everyone omelette and I didn’t get invited??

Jaa we have chickens and rural as well! Now that I’m used to them I think they have way more favor than store eggs. Darker yolks and almost saltier. I’m wondering if the protein is higher too.

Got into eggs here too lately. Having fun with trying to do a 20 second french omelette. Used to be able to do those well, but now I've lost my skill. No matter, having fun with practicing, and get to eat well ubderway.

Ah ok that’s not a bad price! Living in the country, even just outside of town, my nearest grocery store in 20 minutes away. Walmart is on the edge of town so 15 minutes. The one I prefer is 25 minutes lol. It’s easy to take all afternoon to go shopping for household things, school clothes then groceries! 5 hours yesterday 😭. BUT Walmart gives me tons of walking because I always forget something and have to go back to the other end once or twice haha. With 5 of us we go through a dozen eggs each meal. I have 3, kids have 2,2,1 and hubby has 4-6 depending on how I fix them. More if scrambled or omelette. We get 4-6 a day now and this fall should be 10-12 so eggs about every other day.

Having your own chickens is wonderful! Having 8 still allows us to give some eggs away to friends. They are also useful for eating up any kitchen scraps. And if you are able to let them free range, they till your garden and eat the little pests in it! Worst thing is, snakes sometimes rob the nests. My husband gathers the eggs for that reason.
