Are you using the BMI formula that takes age into account? It provides a range as well as suggestions. Just Google BMI with age.

I hate bmi it doesn’t take into account muscle. My son is in perfect shape, very muscly and it says he’s overweight.

Well done - may I suggest the better indicator is bodyfat%? BMI does not take into account body composition which is lean muscle tissue vs. fat tissue.

BMI is GARBAGE. A better indicator for your health is your waist to height ratio vs BMI. My 2 cents.

What does the mirror say? You know if you're fat. You know.

Don't get hung up on numbers. Numbers should not rule your life. You feel and look healthy, go with that!

BMI doesn't take body type, muscle mass, or bone density into consideration. It's just a number. You look great/healthy, so don't stress over a vague number my friend!

I don’t think you look overweight. BMI isn’t correct for everyone. Hubby is 6’(would’ve been about 6’4” but broke both growth plates as a kid), very large bone structure and his is always off. When he was solid muscle/athlete his BMI put him in the morbidly obese category yet his cheeks were sunken in and his family tells me that you couldn’t get a pinch of fat anywhere on him. I personally am still overweight yet my BMI is 24.3 (137#, 5’3 and small bone structure). Take BMI with a grain of salt. As someone else said, BF% is more accurate I think. So is how your clothes are fitting. :)

According to the charts I'm supposed to weigh around 180, but when I was down that low I looked sick and didn't feel that great, either.

You look great! It’s not broke don’t fix it!!!

I am the same way. I have to lose 6 pounds to get a "Normal BMI". My plan it to hit it, so I can say that I did it one time in my life, then settle on a weight that doesn't make me look too thin.

You look great!

BMI can be changed by increasing muscle as opposed to loosing weight

I need to lose 15 pounds to get to my normal BMI 24.9😂 Well, most of us are looking to get in the normal "range" to feel better😉 Those who have achieved it, congrats to them. 😊Other indicator as chesgreen stated is Waist-to-Height ratio. It should be half or less than half. For eg. 6 feet (72 inches) height person should have a waist of 36 inches or less to be deemed as "IDEAL" . Also, worth mentioning(or not) is Waist-to-Hip ratio should be 0.90 or less for men and 0.80 for women to be deemed as "HEALTHY". And as Phil said its about feeling "great", is a good indicator as well. We(most of us) tend to go with the numbers. But it's subjective :) I feel good even while I am a few pounds more than my supposedly NORMAL BMI😎😄

And I am aiming for BMI 22🤒🤕 😐☺

Man! Try a different chart!! You look fit! They do vary. One says I need to be 115 to be normal and the other one say 135. 20# difference is a lot
