Slow loss but No Worries. My Hubby ❤️ of 23 yrs is taking to my Oconogist tomorrow morning for another exam then the consultation for my cancer treatment plans. Am pretty sure it'll be a hysterectomy done this wk or next wk. If it didn't spread then all I have to do is take a couple wks to recover & life goes on. I feel positive. Want this damn surgery done soon cause my lower back's killing me & that affects my cycling & my job. But it's all in God's 🙌 hands. But today am making a beef stew in a Crock-Pot. Won't go crazy & careful what I eat but it's Super Bowl. Go Pats!!! Everyone have a great day ❣️😊

Hi, @Debsue420. I'm touched by your story, because my name is Debbie, and my sister's name was Sue. In two days, it will be 3 years since I lost her to a synovial sarcoma cancer of the lung. Three years before THAT, she successfully conquered colon cancer! Many prayers for you! God knows I can't lose any more Sue's!!!

I would not be as concerned with weight loss right now. I would concentrate on maintenance and making sure to get adequate nutrition because it isCRITICAL for wound healing. If you are in doubt as to whether your current WOE Is providing the nutrients needed for wound healing and for helping to fight infection talk to a dietician. Also, make sure they know what your eating plan is and what supplements you might be taking. Keep us posted. Wishing you the best outcome possible.

DearDebsue420, saw your post this morning for the first time. Even though I'm not very smart or knowledgeable, I'm old enough to have "seen a few things", like that insurance ad on television. So glad you are here on FS to get support and even a little advise. I really want to throw my two cents in but will try to give it in bite sized chunks. First important thing is sugar. As I recall you mentioned cancer likes sugar, but it's a lot more than that. On Youtube I saw a convention (?) that said that cancer cannot use fat as fuel, only glucose. I joined FS in December after starting Intermittent Fasting and Keto for health reasons. I'd had a scare with "fuzzy brain" and learned by reading a couple of books about dementia because of my husbands memory loss that the incidence is up to 48 to 50%. I'll have no one to take care of me, besides who want to lose their brain and be taken care of. When I learned that by fasting I can get rid of inflamation, virus, infection, cancer, etc. and old proteins to renew my cells, I was all in. I need my brain, I want to be independent! Now, I am certainly not suggesting that you not have surgery, it sounds like a resonable thing to get rid of it. But frankly as your sister I would wish that the rest of your life would be a smart move to do what you can to improve your imune system and watch your general health. I'd heard at the Cancer Control Society Convention (alternative health), when my husband had prostate cancer, that if our liver allows cancer, it needs support. Our daughter has stage 4 cancer, inoperable, but she isn't ready for alternative ideas, but is doing pretty well so far on chemo. Back to fasting, I'm not ready to do days of fasting, but then I don't have cancer. Intermittant Fasting can just be shortening our eating window to 8 and then 6 hours a day, and maybe 4 hours if one is really serious. That can still give us 2 meals a day, some people go down to one but I don't think I could eat enough in one meal so doubt that I'll ever do it, unless of course I get cancer. I do have one leaky breast for about 2 years now that one one likes but they can't find anything yet. It's not so very comforting knowing about my daughter's breast cancer: they cannot find her cancer in her breast even now, but it has spread to all her bones. Since it has already spread there's no use taking off her breast when they can't even find it. And my mother died of ovanian cancer which is similar, and my only sister has had 2 breast cancers with both breast removed. If yours is in the womb, I've heard it's inclosed so easier to just take out. My mother's wasn't. You said you shared last week your announcement, but I didn't see it, maybe that was the day your post disappeared. I will try to find that cancer convention on Youtube. Several days ago I saw here on FS a gal shared she was just diagnosed with bladder cancer. I clicked to follow her but haven't responed yet, but want to share my cousin has had bladder cancer for about 20 or 30 years. I hope it does not offend you that I take most of this post to share with her. I have more to share but it will be another time. Must get ready for church now. My husband only goes to get the lunch afterwards. It's okay, he gets some of the Word (hard of hearing: ears and heart). Will be praying for you.

Hi my name is Toni. I was reading your post. I have ovarian cancer. I had a hysterscopy to take out a polyp. Then my Dr called to tell me that they found a spot next to where the polyp was that they tested and said it was endometrial cancer. So their solution is to have a hysterectomy. He said that after the surgery they may have to do radiation and maybe chemo. I took estrogen pills for more than 10 years for hot flashes and my weight at 200. My husband and I met with the Oncologist. He said that may of contributed to the cancer from the hormones. I will be 65 in April. I will pray for you to have a successful surgery. I know that God heals. He will get us through this.
