Last night I wanted to eat everything in sight, today my throat feels closed up and I can't get a bite down. I'm on an emotional rollercoaster and I can't seem to get off. Searching for inner peace, but it is elusive today.

Not trying to be a copy cat- but I, too, have a sore throat. I wish it made me unable to swallow because I am fighting hard to not eat all the snacks and just maintain this month. You are doing fine, Shirfleur. Take some time alone and collect your thoughts. Stop watching the news and calm down.

I've been alone for almost 4 weeks now, as I live alone and have not been out. And you are right, when I watch the news it really stresses me out, but I feel compelled to know what's going on "out there." My throat is not actually sore, just tight from stress. It's 4:00 pm and I'm feeling a little better, so I'm going to try to eat something now. Thank you all for your concern and support, I'll be okay, just have to "freak out" every once in a while. I guess I didn't realize you are alone. That sucks, Shirfleur. And I know my saying it doesn't make it better. Can you go outside at all and get some fresh air. There has to be something- even something small that can make you feel better. Any hobbies you can do indoors or something you can youtube that you have always wanted to learn?

I too have not feeling good! I try to not look at sweet snacks but it’s hard.... I don’t want anything good... I too have sore throat and Every night I have a terrible time sleeping 😴 all night long I can’t close my eyes... I’m very stressed out! I have to stay away from to much news... unfortunately My X-Husband Lives With Me he’s 84 years old and all he wants to do is sitting by the window and watching TV (news) constantly ALL Day Long! ... I’m usually a very positive person... but this like is happening to everyone... is beginning to get to me! I sure hope that this tunnel has a light 💡 sorry 😐 for my ranting! It is hard but we have to try to take our minds away from it from time to time. I enjoy listening to different things like podcasts, books and music. Hang in there.

Shirfleur, make a cup of hot tea. Sit in a comfortable chair... feel the warmth of the tea. Set it down and take some long deep breaths. Close your eyes, inhale deeply and fill your lungs with fresh air, and slowly release the negative energy and breathe out. Do this for 8-10 breaths whenever you feel anxious. Princess, I'm actually quite good at entertaining myself at home under normal circumstances. And I did sit out on my balcony yesterday and watched the rain. But my worries right now just get to me every once in a while and being able to rant does help, so thanks for listening. I'm actually very lucky, because I'm okay financially and I am able to have groceries and takeout delivered and all of my family and friends are currently well. So, I guess I should be counting my blessings instead of carrying on like a crybaby. Stay safe my friends and be kind to each other. And thanks again for your support.

Oh, shirfleur, I'm so sorry you are feeling badly. Sometimes the anxiety seems to get a grip and not want to let go. I know you have not just you but people you love who are possibly vulnerable. I wish there was some way we could help. These are stressful days for sure. Hang in there, and imagine all the hugs that would be yours if we could really give them. ❤️

Take care of yourself Shirfleur. These hard times will pass. It is good to "get it off your chest", helps to de-stress. Living alone works for me, especially after the exes I've had 😁

Shirfleur, I am sorry the aloneness is getting to you. Me it has only been since the 12th. I have talked to a couple neighbors outside when we have been outside. I was thrilled they are doing ok. Do you have some neighbors you can talk to outside at a good distance. I have seen in the news about many people eating a lot through this. If you are like me keeping in touch with friends and family on Facebook is a blessing. You are not alone chat here with us as well. Music, books, hobbies,, old comedy tv shows. Whatever makes you smile.
