As I continue with the order that Keto has brought to my daily living, I have decided ( announced at my Christmas Eve Dinner table) that in 2019, I would strive to systematically declutter my home. My adult children laughed right out loud. What brats!!! This New Year's "resolution" is a really really positive in many many ways. #1. It needs to be done...every time I clean out so much as a silverware draw, I feel the burden of STUFF in my life...slightly lifted. #2. I really do not need nor use all this stuff. But #3, the most heartening , it is the FIRST time that I have made a resolution that DOES NOT have to do with my weight, exercise or food!!!!! This way of living with all of you...has ordered me....and my WOE!!! Keto has ordered me. IF has added to this order. My support here at FS and at home has made those old resolutions unnecessary. Now I have space to make space in my life. Thank you all. Happy New Year! OLD ME BELOW!

WOW, oh WOW! I don't think I've ever seen a "before" picture of you, Judyrose! You have been such an inspiration to me for over a year now. Your dedication to your WOE and your consistency in meeting all of your goals is admirable. I, too, have started de-cluttering. I didn't "officially" make it a resolution for the year, but, since Christmas, I have given three big boxes of "too big" clothes to the "Love of Jesus Thrift Store," and I have another box packed up for a lady at church. A couple days ago, I completely purged my closet of things that either are too big, or that I don't wear. They say, "One Woman's Junk is Another Woman's Treasure." A book I read a long time ago said, "Get rid of what you DON'T need/want to make room for what you DO." It is SO heart-warming that you no longer have to have your resolutions revolve around diet, exercise, or food!" BRAVO, sister! You truly are an inspiration to the rest of us!

I love when I have everything de-cluttered. Unfortunately it stresses my husband when I start at it. He is certain that I am getting rid of 'good stuff'. Out of respect to him much of it is packed in boxes and stored in the basement. I would prefer it went out the door however there are two of us living in our house. As I remove things he will often add things back. He feels the place is too bare and I feel it is too full. We work towards compromise.

That is a great goal - I also feel like I have stuff I would like to clean out and either give away or sell.

Such a great post! I think that it is a natural progression after you've lost all the "clutter" of your weight, bad eating habits and medications. We've all carried a lot of extra weight on our bodies and as you said the "burden" of stuff clutter is getting to you in the same way. I really took my time and enjoyed all the memories of my stuff...I was exhausted some days from long trips down memory lane, but it feels so freeing. Good luck!!

Well done! There’s some really helpful decluttering groups on FB.. I’ve been working on this since feb 2016, when we closed our shop and stopped working 7/7.. so 14 yrs of accumulated stuff to clear.. I find that small targets that I can accomplish keep my motivation up! Good luck
